'Should've stabbed him more': Chilling bodycam shows moment woman is arrested after stabbing husband

#Bodycam #Policebodycam
Chilling footage shows the moment a pensioner was arrested in her M&S pyjamas while refusing to help her 'abusive' husband as he lay dying on the kitchen floor.
Penelope Jackson, 66, calmly talks police through what she allegedly did to David Jackson, 78, after they arrived at their home in Berrow, Somerset.
She gives horrifying remarks to the officers including 'if there's any luck you'll be too late', 'I should have stabbed him a bit more' and 'I might go and stab him again'.
But during her arrest Jackson appears more concerned with retrieving her coat and slippers from her house, which she repeatedly asks officers for.
The defendant told Bristol Crown Court today she stabbed him after becoming 'petrified' by violence she was subjected to throughout their marriage.
She claimed she 'walked on eggshells' and 'lived with a knot in my stomach' and told the jury: 'I didn't know if I was waking up to nice David or nasty David.'

Let’s be honest, we won’t stop hearing about this for the next 20 years. There will probably be a TV show on ITV soon. The press love it when a female murder is caught and will go on about it till we are sick of it. This is the fodder for TV movies on all the channels. So don’t worry about TV coverage, they are too busy reshowing coverage of the last female murder.

A friend of mine was the US Ambassador to a South Pacific island where the Mormons had started up. Divorce before then was a simple matter of the wife moving back in with her parents but once the hooks were in, domestic violence (hereto almost unheard of) went through the roof. Anecdotal but hard data is hard to come by since for most of the 20th century, it wasn't even considered a crime unless it ended in death.

As I got older when my dad died i didn’t feel sad he was gone but angry and disappointed that he wasted the chance to have a proper relationship with his own kids. But I also say how much he meant to his sisters and brother for example and you realise that we are multifaceted and things aren’t that simple. That’s not excusing a persons behaviour but you have to let go of things. Life is far too short. I would say nothing excuses murder but I have a child and i know how much they mean to me. Emotions and feelings can be very hard to control. To be so Frank about it is unusual and I wouldn’t like to jump to conclusions with this case. The facts will come out when the case goes to court. Then he told and showed that I deserved every bit, because I was unrespectful for going down alone the town, exactly because I didn’t want to arguing. I don’t tell in details what his son done to me, but I didn’t want to be alive anymore. And was no help. This is the reality in the 21st century England. Someone killed, someone kill themselves, and some kill their abusers. The latest the rarest. I can imagine she asked many times help from officials. In my case for a long time they said: there is help, but not us. And that was the answer everywhere. When eventually I got out I was nearly death, and it was just my luck then. @@danielhooper8138 One moment of abuse from someone…then say bye or just leave and don’t look back. A lot of these people stay because they can’t afford it/abuser has the money, or they can’t make other plans or no other option without downgrading their living circumstances - that falls on them. No excuse for murder. No matter how unpopular my comment may be, cold hard truth. Been there done it. Because I’m the flip side the abuser could have mental health problems/experiences themselves if you want to go down that route. Where’s the line? There isn’t one. Don’t like being abused then leave. And yes, it is as easy as that. This woman sounds like she aha screw loose. Didn’t look like she was physically attacked in that circumstance with a lack of bruising and freely able to move and then use a knife on a man aware of the threat. If she was mentally abused then that doesn’t give the excuse as her life isn’t under threat. It’s tough but there’s plenty ways out and support out there. Perhaps she was the abuser and thinks she’s smart enough to play the damsel in distress to think she gets free pass 🤷
