While playing the game people will mention you should angle your armor, while this is generally good advice on the surface, just below it your will find there are better options depending on the situation you are in.

Here's the issue Do you rather die Or Gamble on if you die or not? I move while angling my armor, that had save me a ton of times when I'm being shot at When facing off an enemy tank, your best bet is still angling and wiggling around and pray they mess up their shot to give you another chance in fighting back At the end of the day, if you're too reliant on your armor in WT, you're playing the game "not ideally", it isn't wrong but still not ideal, not being shot at > praying your armor tank the shot > just die because you can't be bother to use the terrain/building or simple armor angling to survive.
The point I was making is that telling someone to angle as a blanket statement is incomplete advice as it lacks the context necessary for it to be used appropriately.
Angling with thin sides can still be worth it, just because tracks, especially on cramped models like soviet mediums, will sometimes eat 88 mm long without even breaking.
True that, this video is more about that angling can be useful, but in certain situations getting the first shot of may be more important, it's not an in depth video though, getting a full understanding of when and how to use it would take a long time if you wanted something more in depth.
Actually as both a Sherman enjoyer and Panther enjoyer, i can tell everyone to actually angle them, not as much as demonstrated, which is around 30-40° instead you want something like 20-25°, that way your side armor is still effective and your front armor will have that small bonus, it can sometimes save you from penetration, better save than sorry
Good point, I mainly prioritize angling if I know I am likely to take return fire and I know it will really throw them off. My favorite is a form of angling in terms of wiggling, a slightly more advanced strategy. My choice of angling is highly dependent on the situation I am in though.
good stuff also if you have a wall or cover to block your side you can angle weak side Armour tanks as only your front plate is visable to the enemy also some times angling isn't about armour effectiveness but instead is so your turret moves in relation to the enemy when you reverse or drive forward for instance at long ranges angling your hull in tiger 2 and driving forward or backwards can spoil shots aimed against your turret of course don't over angle or that is 2 will instead over match through your weak sides
Great video, can you also make a video about something not talked about and really can save lives especially in higher br's where solid shots or sabots exist Its basically angling the crew When your engine is caught from a corner and your half or rest of the tank is exposed but the crew isnt, you can rotate your turret away from the line of fire and the burning engine to buy yourself more time or in some situations completely surviving the encounter
Angling ur tiger 1 is only effective if facing American 76mm. Almost everything else can pen you. 122mm, heat, sabot, 90mm even 85mm sometimes easily will kill you.
While yes angling can help, your answer lacks the context needed to know when and how to use it. A great example of this is using a tiger 1 against an IS-2, angling will not protect you there, especially if they have BR-471B.
@@SeanFicken still gives you more of a chance of surviving. And it definitely depends on the tank. Panthers should angle minimally cause they have weak sides, same with the Jumbo Sherman.
