Should you BUY the 2020 Subaru WRX Series White or WAIT for the REDESIGN? 

IMO what separates your car reviews from other channels is your random, comedic humor. Not only are the reviews great at showcasing the car, but the random jokes always make me want to watch more!! Hahah, keep it up Joe. 🤙🏻

The problem I have with the "White Edition" is that it's really just a color and rims. Some black emblems to get me excited when we can swap them out ourselves for less money. And the STI version cost more then a Limited with less. No Harmon Kardon radio. No Navi, No blind spot, No sunroof. etc... I would still get a limited perl white over this.. Just my thoughts. Great video as always..

I got mine last year. no regrets. Love driving it.

Series white WRX looks awesome, the only thing it’s missing is that STi transmission and this thing would hands down be everyone’s ‘go-to’ if they didn’t want the EJ but almost everything else the STi has to offer imo

Subaru is such a niche brand and I love it. You literally can’t buy an AWD manual sedan from anyone else in America but Subaru. The cars may be a little dated but they’re great, and I applaud Subaru for still making the WRX in an era of boring economy cars and crossovers. Great review Joe.

Would be nice to have a coupe version for the STI in 2021.

If they’re gonna make a redesign, they should be able to have some similarities with their other line ups. The one thing I’m hoping for is after hitting a 10mph the doors SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY lock, rather than having it to lock manually. And also, be able to automatically unlock when trying to pull the handle when leaving the car. For $27k+ they should be able to consider something like this.

I bought the 2020 series white out of the showroom at the dealership in my town last week. I love it.

The Ceramic White is a lot nicer than the Crystal White Pearl. I have seen both colors on Subaru’s parked next to each other. The Ceramic White color really pops!

Bring back the hatch and I’m in!

Man I see WRX and my heart skips a beat then I hear the exhaust and I toss my cookies. I know the EJ is dated man but it is such an iconic sound. Nevertheless , 2022 can't come quick enough. Rumors are speculating the STI will have 400HP ? I'll wait. Captain Content crushing it !! Nice work Joe.

Personally I think this is awesome. I wouldn't want to wait for the next gen WRX because it will come with all the kinks that a new model presents every time. Just like the 15' WRX 1st gen issues. I personally would get the series white. Refined last model, best that it can be and best of what limited has combined with the Premium performance pack, and special paint. No it's not a collectible, but it is unique and a limited edition for sure. Repainting a car is no easy task, as I worked in an autobody in my youth. If you don't intend to do a ton of mods and a paint job, get this. otherwise get a bare bones wrx and mod and paint away. Also it hurts to say this, but in the future WRX is probably going AT like GTR, Supra and many other companies. So the resale of this vehicle could be even greater than it is now for WRX limited edition models. Thanks Raiti for the review! really helped me when choosing a new car

I can't wait for the redesign. I'm so eager, much more than Ferrari or other cars, video cards, microprocessors, SSD's and all the other things I'm passionate about. I'm a diehard Subaru Fan, I like this brand since 2006 from NFS Carbon, they also had the WRX STI in Underground 2, I was 14 at that time. They are special vehicles and I hope I can buy one as new and keep it until everyone else has an electric car.

Damn that price...i paid $24.5k out the door when i bought my 2015 base model with 6 miles on it. I'm sure this doesn't have $10.5k in upgrades. Especially since car prices are falling right now.

If you play your cards right, you could pick, 2020 up, pay on it for 18 months, save sone cash, and trade for the new one or sti if you can afford it. I'm picking one up tomorrow and in mid 2022 if the new one is as rumored, will likely trade out.

Hopefully the redesign brings the hatch back.. back. If not I’ll be getting a Type R

If Subaru really wanted to make an "Extra Special" WRX they should throw in a DCCD with just auto settings like sport and sport sharp with no manual setting option. Maybe in the cards for 2021. Otherwise nice offering. I have go to chuckle though it took Subaru 4 years to offer actual Brembos on the WRX, I swapped in Brembos on my 2015 within a year; guess I was ahead of the curve. Regardless night and day difference in braking.

Why get the CVT? because the manual in this car kinda sucks to drive. Id say wait for the redesign. Hopefully it will have a better driving position, more refined power delivery, throttle mapping and clutch engagement and of course, a hatchback.

If we are already at 35K+, why not add another 1000 bucks and go for the real deal.....the STI ? You get a whole lot more car for the money.

So, from what I hear, there are some red flags on the current generation of WRX and STi cars. 1) Rev Hang 2)Aggressive return spring on the clutch--although Joe praises the clutch action, other reviews haven't been as kind. And finally...buyers going for this kind of vehicle because they like to shift 3) Cable actuated shifter in WRX vs direct link in the STi. I feel like in my dream world where I have money and another parking spot, I'd want a WRX Series White with the pimp looking wheels/calipers, upgraded suspension, but with the direct link STi short throw shifter. I'll stick with the WRX's twin turbo engine for daily driving--and I like fog lights--both the look and functionality. Major ZONK on the low arm-rest though--longer trips make this feature a necessity in my book. Plus, in the back seat no vent, no USB...screams economy car from a few years ago. So I guess what I'm really saying, is that waiting for the re-design would be my personal call. Actually what I REALLY WANT/NEED is a Levorg STi....sigh..

Wait for the new model. The updates for the new Sti, is a whopping 400hp engine designed to rival the AMG hot hatches like the A45s.

At this stage of the game I say pass on the special editions and wait for the next gen 400hp/361 ft-lbs WRX STi... or if you’ve always wanted one get the current gen, enjoy the hell outta it and trade up when the new one drops in 021-022 ... they have crazy resale 🤣🤣🤣

Yes I know there hard to find but this automatic has 9 drive modes and can made like a traditional automatic. I just ordered one and am expecting it last week in August. Thanks
