I have never met a Christian that has celebrated Halloween before. I have met people that evangelise during Halloween by having a horror house (filled with rooms that talk/drama about sin and its ramifications e.g fornication, murder, etc with a alter call at the end of the house). The point is God Himself gave us a list of the appointed days for us to worship and meet with Him. 90% of Christians today do not know them or keep them however they keep a day that was not set apart by Him. How do you think that makes God feel? It makes Him feel like His bride is disobedient. As far as the OT law goes, it is all still relevant. Jesus said those that follow Him should teach and do ALL the law and those who do not keep even the least of the commandments and teach others to do so shall be least in the Kingdom. Torah means instruction and the Father has given us instructions on how to live. It still applies to us today.

There in lies the problem with our theology… We consider some thing and weigh it against our opinions. I don’t mean to belittle your opinion or opinions on other things, it does not matter. What does matter is, gods opinion, and how he feels about a matter, and what he will do within his timing to punish those who ignore his opinion, his commandments and his perception laws, in other words, the Torah.

I grew up celebrating Christmas myself! but it's very important to be knowledgeable about what we're celebrating and why. The Shepherds were out in the field when Jesus was born, during spring is when Lambs are born. The Shepherds would be out in the field watching for a new Lambs to be born. If Jesus was born in winter solstice, the Shepherds and sheep would all be in shelter cuz it gets very cold in Israel too. At the end of the day, just continue building a relationship with God and studying the bible, he will lead you in all truth. I don't think Christians should argue about these things either, but we could study things together.
