SHOULD YOU GET THE NEW SAO Game? AM I? | Sword Art Online Last Recollection PS5 Gameplay  

I always enjoyed the fatal bullet gameplay style games more than these ones. even the regular monsters felt super beefy health wise and combat always felt weird to me. I always liked how the idea of the combat was but it never clicked with me so i could never get into it. In my opinion, fatal bullet was the peak of SAO games. it had it's rough spots in terms of game mechanics that couldve been fixed sure but it was still the best in terms of combat and story imo. what i'd really love to see though is a full remake of the gameverse. and you can just title it as the "progressive" series too! start over in aincrad and let us create our own character like in fatal bullet and have this custom character be a new member of kiritos group that is kindof the hero of the progressive gameverse series. that would be lots of fun imo!

Personally, I'm definitely not buying it at full price. They just took most assets from Lycoris and transferred to Last Recollection and changed the engine that made it a bit more optimized than Lycoris (performance-wise) but I'm not convinced that it's worth a price that high. This is the last sao game in this timeline they created. So if they ever make one again, they'll either follow the actual canon or create a different timeline which is their favorite thing to do.

I already bought it and have loved Sao since 2012, but still came to Ventus’ channel to hear other opinions on game. Personally if u love sao get it, if ur spectacle watch the video above 👆❤

I've spent a good amount of time on both SAO AL & SAO LR but while yes the combat is simpler in SAO LR i enjoyed some of SAO AL combat better. i also noticed you talked about scared arts in a a different video and needing to change them and add more i didn't use scared arts much but they have completely changed them and i don't find myself using them often because now you have to equip them like you would a combat skill or sword skill i also noticed they didn't allow for allies roles to be changed and they removed some however i do like that certain sword skills can be used to interrupt the enemies attacks also i'm 50/50 on the finish arts not being weapon specific like it's nice be able to use the night sky blades EA on a different sword but then it also defeats the purpose of being that weapons EA but my honest opinion is if you love sao get it but as a gameplay prospective it's a hit or miss also hope they bring back the heart to heart minigame or something to do with the other characters

I will say one thing AL did Combat Better than LR however for Combat Skills just equip your sword skills with STR + Whatever the main Modifier for the skill is (Nightmare Rain is 200% AGI so you'll focus STR AGI Gear as we dont need ACC). LR does have the same Tactical Arts as Lycoros did to program them but its way simpler and as long as we have Arts Gauge we can upkeep buffs with no cooldown on them

unpopular opinion: I really am offended that they took away the blade parry when you hold on block.... that was the one mechanic I mastered and was proud of and that kept my super arts going 24/7

i got it and the allce but i have barely played 45mins into the first i intend to complete both one day lol

I played the demo and I really like the combat but I feel like its not worth 60. Definitley will pick it up on sale though.

I'm not going to buy Sao Recollection. I expected more I played the demo and I actually liked it, but looking at the rest of the game, there only improvements in combat and performance, they had more than 3 years to make this game much better than lycoris. much the content was reused but a lot of content was removed. in my opinion last recollection could easily be a complement or a "remake" of lycoris.

I want use brawl weapons but no one has gameplay on it

I don't really like its GUI so probably a no for me cuz I played the demo already.

Maybe its just me but the engine feels like it's a downgrade from what Fatal Bullet used, which was Unreal Engine 4. May sound ironic since I liked how the older engine (Havok I think it was called? correct me if I'm wrong) for Accel World vs SAO looked and all that flying around.. feel like I should go back and play that, was a few in-game achievements that I missed outside of getting all the Steam ones. Might skip this one chief, I really gave Lycoris a good go and this looks like part 2 to me.

I love this game

It's not worth it, Alicization Lycoris even now is better game,. they took a step back with last recollection and now it seems like it's more robotic way of fighting enemies, with you surrounding enemy on all 4 sides, and feels a bit restricting in movement compaared to Alicization LYcoris. So many things they took out of the game and added in more crap from hollow realization. This is not a step forward it's a step back.

At least on Playstation, i feel that AL and fatal bullet are the two worst games in terms of performance, both games are still locked at 30fps, even when playing on the ps5, LR is by far the best sao game in terms of fluidity and build diversity

I’m just mad at the setting/environment. The atmosphere sucks compared to Alicization. And I’m mad that they couldn’t have this combat in alicization. Fast, RESPONSIVE, and with clarity. I want to play it, but I definitely won’t play it for 60. No one should play this for 60 because here’s what you’re doing. You’re telling these devs and companies that they can give you a LITERAL DLC, portray it as a “new” game, and sell it to you for full price. This is exactly what EA does for sports games every year. Don’t let it bleed into real gaming. Don’t support this for full price.
