I'm 38 years old now and I gave up years ago. If you are born ugly, you are screwed.

Everytime I hear someone say "It only takes confidence" its like nails on a chalkboard board.

I am ugly, and I have given up on dating. My last date was literally 7 years ago (Dec. 21, 2015). I haven't asked any woman for a date since then, nor have I had any women reach out to me or show the slightest bit of interest. I'm done.

I’m a guy who barely stands 5’O, so as far back as Junior HS I realized that I had little to no chance in dating or attracting women so I learned to find other things in life (hobbies, goals, etc) to help me cope. I am now in my early 40s and can say I’m am content in life and have not developed a hatred towards women. I unconsciously accepted very early own that I came up “snake eyes” in the genetic lottery and by accepting that I gained freedom. Yes, you can improve yourself and you should but as Wheat Waffles said in the video you must accept your circumstances and not have unrealistic expectations

Dating in 2022 in a nutshell: spend all your time, energy and effort just so you can get post-wall leftovers from Chad, get bunch of obligations and no rights, and a 50% chance to lose half of your stuff after a failed marriage.

You're spot on about how looks contributes to wealth, status and social skills. The halo effect is strong. Years ago I came to the realization I didn't leave the dating market, I was kicked out by the female populous. I could have put in a massive effort and eventually maybe found someone. But for me, it was just not worth it. Chad, they are all yours.

What waffles didn't stress enough is the sheer amount of work a sub 5 has to invest to reach his peak. It is reasonable to ask if this massive investment of time, energy and money is worth it if in the end you just get some mediocre, very likely chadstruck woman.

Basketball is a simple way to see this reality of black vs red pill.. if a player is 5'0, he can train for decades, get the best coaches and trainers, eat the best diet, use the best facilities, train night and day, use the best equipment, work out with NBA players. He will likely lose to a 6'5 teenager that never played basketball in his life. All the short guys effort can lead to victory, maybe he gets lucky... it doesn't mean he shouldn't try hard and improve, there's still a chance. But to say there's no disadvantages or advantages from mens looks is like saying there's no advantages for height in basketball.

This is more or less my approach. I'm about a 6 facially according to the most brutally honest person I know, but I'm 5'8 and Asian. Rather than competing against chads in the west and giving up, the most rational approach to me is to spend my college years in the gym, studying to land a high-status career, and kpopmaxxing so I can try my luck in my parents' home country once I graduate. Play to your strengths, be realistic, and know when it's over.

When I got red-pilled, I had that optimism that this new perspective would improve situation. RP content is great for self-improvement, and gives us real information on making better choices in who we date. But we need BP information too. I used to think that I was about average(and that may be factually true). But here's the thing, I'm 5'5", bald, sub5 face, and while I'm not overweight, I'm certainly not jacked. This makes me the triple threat of what women DONT want. It also follows that a woman that does show interest in the physical me, is probably not going to be attractive to me.(or she's really only looking for access to what I have). Men absolutely have to stay realistic in your expectations, or you will fall into the same trap that modern women have. Being delusional is not good.

I'm definitely a sub5, knew this already and gave up on women in my early twenties; in retrospect one of my best life decisions... No stress, no drama, no sorrows, just utter freedom and living a luxurious life because the money I earn is mine 100% to spend on my hobbies and luxury, and I do have a very well paying job. I'm now in my early fifties, haven't wasted my time with those shallow women since and just living the good life. Women demands and dating in general have only gotten worse in the last decades and I think the main reason is social media... It ruined dating alot! All that matters is looks

Me and my brother. Around 18yo, he was probably a 6 while I was a 5. However, this small difference helped him to date sometimes five girls a week while I struggled to find one. Fast forward 10y, add money and social status, SMV for us would be the same, however he still had better looks, still easier for him. And he has learned to play the game, putting girls in that emotional rollercoaster of calling/ghosting, while I'm still the good guy. Considering me and my brother (same/similar genetics), looks is the deciding factor.

I've gave up on dating years ago. There's just no point for me. Still going to improve myself, and do so for me.

Yes, looks/height are a prerequisite to the other metrics, but if you’re low in money but have the potential to earn a lot in the future, many women will overlook that. Think of a broke medical student. Sadly, looks/height really is the gating factor to any romantic success. I’m a normie in looks but near 10/10 in status, money, game and it barely moves the needle. Don't improve yourself to attract women, that's a total waste of time and energy, and you'll end up frustrated. Use that time to do whatever makes you happy and satisfies your heart and brain. That's the way. It most probably won't increase your chances to get a good woman. But it'll make you happier than the stupid optimistic.

If it’s meant for you to get a girlfriend then it’s gonna have to happen naturally. I don’t see much point in approaching random girls expecting that shit to work, more than likely it won’t. If a woman is really into you she will approach or send choosing signals. I don’t believe that anyone should focus on spitting game or looking for women. Because the women you attract won’t even be good quality. The best relationships are made when women usually show they’re interested. The whole idea of men having to approach first is beta. It’s taking you out of your masculine frame. Sometimes it’s best to just go the hard route and give up stop looking for women who don’t want you. Your "rate of improvement" theory is spot on. It's another way of describing the "genetic potential" theory in bodybuilding. If you do everything right as a newbie, you can build most of your lifetime mass in the first 2 years. New gains will be marginal at best from then on.

I think a lot of these dating videos ignore something that I think negatively impacts dating. A lack of average women who are not over weight. This increases as you get older. As an "average" guy who runs 20+ miles a week and lifts, I would rather stay single than be with an overweight person.

I would say I’m a 3 or 4 with a very athletic build. Im realistic with my looks I don’t try to over do anything or accessorize to be noticed. The good thing about being unattractive is you are able to look internally at yourself and are closer to finding a state of peace. Not being pursued helps me focus on myself; physically, spiritually, and emotionally without having a lot of self-ego involved in my daily life. I am the invisible man. A quiet shadow amongst the land.

From my observations, 6/10 is the cutoff point. As in if you cannot reach 6/10 in looks after fully looksmaxxing it's pretty much over for you. At 6/10 is when guys start being treated like actual human beings and are not invisible and auto-rejected. You may still be able to get with extremely unattractive obese women if you are below 6/10 but that's about all you can expect. Geomaxxing could also be an option.

If you date 5 women, that doesnt mean they are off the market. You will be most likely one of the 5 men that they are dating

I’m a 7 in looks, I’m 5’11 in the United States and here that’s considered short, it’s amazing how even I struggle on dating apps and in person, I get treated like a chad sometimes and a normie others. Women constantly lie to our faces though and it’s good that wheat waffles exposes all of this, it’s 100% looks as I had a glow up from age 15-23 and I’m treated very very differently now that I’ve gained muscle. People don’t treat me as rudly. People are a lot more patient, especially women, women think I’m a player sometimes. It really fucks with your perception of things when you notice how looks based everything is, and it pisses me off.

Another point is that chad don't have to do anything, as for me right now after years of trying my best trying to talk with girls, asking if they want to date to be told they have boyfriend 9999 times and learning to accept the frustration and loneliness as part of my life, MR chad had girls chasing him since he was 15 and they keep asking him every day if he's taken. In elementary school I learned I was being picked on cause of a poor family. Middle school it was being ugly/overweight and weird. Confessing and getting ridiculed for it made me realize how ugly I am. That was the point I stopped trying to date most definetly. "social skills are linked with being good looking in the first place" I was born ugly, had a terrible lifestyle and went through my early 20's with a solid disadvantage, but man I first focused on improving my social skills rather than my looks, it helped a lot for me to kick in physical transformation. I do think, though, that as you mature and create a warm intimate romantic relationship, your orientation will change to some extent. You are 100% right about the fact that you cannot substitute looks for either money, status or social skills. I have my own house and a well paying job as a software developer. However usually I get rejected right away and I do not even get far enough to show my social skills or to tell a woman how much money I have.

I've given up on women now I'm focusing on myself improving myself and being the best version of of myself it's much better than being worried about getting girls because the reality is you probably won't get any, I can sleep peacefully now a days thanks to blackpill.

All of my high school relationships happened when I wasn’t looking for them. And honestly that’s just the approach I’ve always done I never was one to focus on finding the one. I just focus on keeping myself healthy, building on my résumé, and saving money relationships just came and went as a progress throughout high school never primarily looked for them and when I kind of did my own thing apparently I became popular with freshman didn’t really care though. Now I’m focusing on losing weight, eating healthy, exercising daily, building up a résumé, and saving money

You saved my life. Although I am not stupid and I knew almost that this was the the dating scene when I was ulyoung I needed to be reminded of this in order to validate my opinions in my brain. I am working towards being better like improving my appearance but I am not delusional. We all have a ceiling. When we have reached that ceiling by improving in all areas and still things won't change in the dating market then the most realistic thing to do is to focus on our life's without participating in the toxic dating scene that women control. For those who have the money and guts can go further and have plastic surgeries but even these plastic surgeries have a ceiling too. Nevertheless men should try to be realistic and not delusional. I have always been fat person and women have rejected me after have sex or after seeing me. But I am not going to give up. It's honestly easier just being single, no drama and no wasted money or time.

I like your nuanced take (and definitely agree with the concept of having a ceiling), but at the same time, I don't feel like I'm at a stage where I need to give up on optimism for finding an attractive girlfriend (call it delusion if you like). My reason for saying this is that it seems like there's a large lack of evidence on how influential money is: I have never seen a tinder experiment that shows a rich, unattractive guy. The only information I've found involves Dubai royals getting chatted up by IG models- but that's a very extreme example and is also completely unrealistic. I can make £300k annually if I keep pushing though; that number is hard to achieve, and is enough to afford pretty much everything important for having a lifestyle worth showcasing. I can't find good evidence on the dating life of a man who makes that much (and uses it), so I'll keep the optimism and re-evaluate things when I get there. It's also a lot more usable than saying "I need to reach 8/10 in the money area", because how do you decide what 8/10 is? Of course, some would say this is just setting myself up for financial ruin, but who knows- maybe it attracts a mixed bag of women as opposed to purely materialistic ones. Very few people have skin in the game for this type of income, let alone have an opportunity for making it, so I'll trust my own experience and judgement.

I would say if you're a man less than a "10," don't give up, but don't get your hopes up. Unless you find a "unicorn," any woman you date is gonna be using you or abusive or have serious mental illness issues. Even if you're a "10," getting married (or even moving in together) is the equivalent to selling yourself into slavery given the state of divorce law in most states.
