It's really up to you. The response is the same. In the video. You might pick up the sound if you have headphones. I'm not speaking about the rattle of the trunk. When I get closer to the motor you can hear it.
Agreed. They're smart at speaker companies and the trend continues that the backsides of subs are evermore incredible-looking. Plus, the cone aimed AT us like a megaphone is where it's at, literally, for the intended impact of the air waves. Else, we hear the sound from the back of the sub,🤨+ that noise. Good video.🍀🍀🍀
PS---If that sub is practically new, it should be taken back if it's rattling like that and not 10 years old. If it's not a free-air sub, consider putting a box around it, air-tight as you can and the felt will be 'like' a 'sealed' cabinet. The more you restrain that cone, the tighter the bass will be and it could be a clear but VERY thick see-through enclosure. Take care. I had a 10" sub whose spider was smacking on the metal frame and I destroyed it finding out - I still have 3, lol.😏
@@justlooking6898 It is an FI Ib3 v2 15 . It's designed for infinite baffles only. I got the idea from this channel. ru-vid.com/group/PLemyAERC-b20n0LRp89VkNNe8srtcLTok&si=RRd4JOzFH_hYYBro
Okay, very nice - .866 inches each way is very long-throw! That vid you referenced? Money. I had forgotten about the upper frequencies, lately! Take care. SQ rules. PS---My TV's sub started buzzing recently...plugged port with a sock and removed sub cover. All good now...life's good, lol---🤩🥴🤣
My original installer was booked up with a huge complete build. I couldn't wait anymore and went to another shop. I hope you get yours installed soon. You'll love it. Especially with 218s 🔊🔊💪🏾. I'd want to hear that.
@@BigJ3RD Thanks for the response. Gonna try the Dayton Audio ultimax 15 then. Not cutting up my car though. If it doesn't work, I'll just tell everybody it's your fault! Lol 😆 😆
