Should You Pull Red XIII Banner? ~ Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis

i do feel bad that red13 banner was not something that worth pulling unless he is a favorite and you have gems to spare so best of luck to those that are pulling and i hope you all get 12 or 6 Chocbo stamp.

Man Octo, I dunno if I've ever seen you so sad during an EC video, but I respect you not sugar-coating it and not hiding how you felt. That said, I did wanna point out that you can add Yuffie weapons to Reds subweapon pool to increase his debuff duration further. In fact, we got a free OB1 4-point Shuriken which gives 12 points to Buff/Debuff duration which gives 40% increase duration, which means coupling this with Reds costume gives you 100% increased duration on his debuffs! I know people are disappointed but I felt the need to point that out because a lot of people are saying it's "Only a 60% increase to duration" when it can in fact stack with the existing Debuff/Buff duration R.Abilities. I will say though, I wish the devs threw in Buff Mastery as well... As in why only a unique duration increase to Debuffs? It would be better if the costume gave Debuff AND Buff duration 60%. I can't imagine it would of been unbalanced if they did... Also, stealing this idea from Nitelite9, but I'd think it would also have been great if Red's new weapon came with the AoE Cura materia slot! That would of made the weapon much enticing, in terms of using it as a main weapon (not just for it's R.Abilities)

To be honest, devs will look at the sell numbers and say another RedXIII is not worth it...

My main 3 are. Cloud physical DPS. Aerith healer. Nanaki magical DPS. That was for the first while until I realized Aerith is a much better magical DPS. I will always main Nanaki but they just keep doing him dirty.

I think the costume is worth the investment. Debuff duration extensions can make a whoooooole lotta difference in the long run. Lot of Red’s stuff debuffs for 20+ seconds. And especially his Sled Fang limit break?? That’s now 30+ seconds. Or in the future, there’s stuff that debuffs for 1 minute, that’s an extra 36 seconds with the costume. Leaves more atb for more buffing and DPS imo. Every second in a battle is life time haha. And never know… they might give us enemies constantly buffing.. idk.. he can constant debuff with weaps with more duration, do more DPS, and buff with his other limit break. Looks good to me lol.

If you really really really love red XIII you could maybe consider pulling at least for wishlist. Just a heads up, they clearly choose characters by profit, and after 13 banners, I kid you not, *13 banners* we finally got a new banner with him featured in some way and it's arguably one of the worst banners we ever had. With the low profit this will get them, don't expect to see a new red XIII banner for 3 months or more... Amount of banners without X character being featured (weapons and costume): *Cloud: 5 (current 2)* *Aerith: 4 (current 4)* *Tifa: 5 (current 5)* *Barret: 10 (current 4)* *Red XIII: 13 (current 0)* *Zack: 6 (current 3)* *Glenn: 7 (current 1)* *Matt: 7 (current 3)* *Lucia: 6 (current 0)* *Sephiroth counting after his release: 3 (current 2)* *Yuffie counting after her release: 1 (current 1)*

6:55 and to add to that even with multiple ennemies we usually attack one at a time so we debuff one at a time and kill him to reduce the number of foes quicker rather than killing them slowly all at once. So really aoe debuff is 99% of the time usuless.

Red 13 is more reliable for bahamut ex2 becus of his manaward that is applied almost immediately. Clouds bandage sword takes freakin forever to take effect

I do like the look of Red’s costumes. I am one that likes AOE over single target. I don’t have enough blue crystals to pull. So a skip for me. However, it is a bummer that Red and Barrett aren’t getting enough love that they deserve.

What is even sadder is that Square management might look at the number of sales/pulls and see that not many people pulled for this banner, so deciding to make even less banners for RedXIII in the future...

And then applibot will say “see? Why make Red 13 banners when obviously people won’t spend for them” Give me something worth spending for and I will.

His new costume is being severely underrated by people who don't see the value of 40+ seconds. Sled Fang debuffs on harder fights which allows you to have perma uptime on it pmuch. The weapon is more situational ill admit but i won't be surprised if we get more multi-target crash fights eventually. On Black Waltzes that weap would had been great for example. Besides i fully expect the Turks trio to show up as one eventually too.

Best thing I can say about this banner is that it’s such an easy skip that I won’t be tempted to waste crystals. I know the r. Abilities are beefy, but with +40 MATK or PATK on the main hand, these big +54 weapons don’t do anything that a +40 won’t do as a sub.

Man, I didn't realize his costume was only debuff focused until I watched this, I thought it was buff/debuff like Yuffie's. Why couldn't they just do that! Speaking of them being lazy with weapon design, anyone else notice Lucia's V39 has a Ice attack boost? And then they immediately came out with Bald Eagle, making V39 obsolete. They could have made it any element, why ice boost twice? Especially when you're gonna put a powerful ice debuff on the second one making it a sure bet the wishlist is worse than redundant and will never be needed. And overall I have to agree, as a huge Red XIII fan, I'd say they whiffed it. They could have continued to give him elemental debuff downs, with maybe the upgrade of a elemental materia boost like the sea collar should have had. Hope they don't use poor sales to justify shelving future banners, I still say they missed an opportunity for Reindeer Red XIII, that could have been his ice debuff with ice boost collar, his version of the Bald Eagle/ Pinwheel! Missed opportunity, right there next to lacking a Santa costume for Barret to go with his banner weapon that lacked appropriate holiday theming! How you gonna do the dog wrong, everyone loves Red XIII, he's like the Chewbacca of FFVII except we can actually understand him!

What sucks is that the devs are going to look at the sales they get from the Red XIII banner and say: "Alright, we're not doing that again any time soon!". I hope they realize that the costume just sucks balls cosmetically and do a better job next time. I know he's tough to design a costume for compared to a human but come on. This was weak. EDIT: Ok apparently a lot of people like the look of the costume including Octo. Hey, I'm not judging! Glad it gives people joy at the end of the day!

Red Tifa and Barret aren't my favorites but I love them but also I DONT HAVE A SINGLE COSTUME for anyone of em and I really do nowadays actually want to play red cause he's cool but idk why they keep doing this to characters that FINALLY have a banner other than the favorite children

Red xiii really doesn’t seem to be in a Great place. I’d love to get the outfit since it looks cool, but knowing it usually takes 24k for me to pull an outfit and that it can go as high as 36k makes it not feel worth it when he’s not even a main part of my teams. At this point, he needs something truly broken for me to consider investing and pulling for him. I’d consider pulling for him if he got a weapon that gave a mid potency all element resist down debuff (so it worked for any elemental weakness) a weapon to mid debuff phys atk, magic atk, pdef, and mdef all at the same time (sunbrella + kuja blade basically), or something else that condensed multiple rolls into one. If costumes were on the 6th stamp I’d pull for a lot more of them just incase, but the amount it takes to pull them means you risk missing things you might really want later and future limited banners just to pick up a just incase outfit.

I pulled for his costume on my alt because of all the hate. Yeah i dont know anyone who would go for the weapon with all their crystals, its probably gonna be useful for the next ranking event but who even pulls for something that might be useful for one event

I still fanboy pulled for Red 😅. Took 8 pulls but I got good weapons from it. Heck, I got more skysplitters feom this than the skysplitter banner. I wanted the costume for his ult, and also to stack with yuffie support weapons. 60% isn't huge but it's no joke.

as a Red main, while I do agree weapon is kinda whatever active wise (it's basically better gold collar), but imo his costume is very good. It already makes what he does well do better, he isnt best unit by any means, but his debuffs lasting THAT much longer is great. he can still use hp/buff/debuff duration costume from yuffie, with lvl 2 passive from it he already have 100%/40% debuff/buff and if you get it high enough which can get to lvl 3 passive can go up to: 140% debuff / 80% buff duration up, thats huge for him and his ATB efficiency for debuffs (like lb, lightning shred, aoe mdef etc) yes, it's disapointing comparing to other weapons, but imo it's great to build on for him, give him 1-2 more weapons that are good for debuffs and he's perfect. and that costume I think will make his debuffing prowess that much better. Remember that already he fills healer slot best from his weapon choices, healer with utility, having that atb efficiency on costume make him have basically 100% uptime on regen, especially on OB10.

I pulled just for the wallpaper, it’s so cool. Other than that I don’t find a use for him yet

I dont think the devs know what they should do with the RedXIII character, he is not a damage dealer, not a healer and not a good supporter.

Why give Lucia physical attack for her first really good weapon then follow it with multiple magic attack weapon banners? So goofy

So when they see people aren’t buying the banner, it de-incentivizes them to make another banner costume for him. It may be 6 months before he gets another, but when you put him where crystal economy is extremely tight hardly anyone is going for it.

Also... you realize you can run Red as the Healer in a Healer double dps combo right? He has one if not the best healing weapon in the game. At least its been working for me, including in top 100 runs, crash and bahamut ex2. Actually a bit baffling you glossed over Plat Collar lol. Its by far his best weapon, its the best healing weapon in the game period. OB6 Plat Collar does as much healing as OB10 Fairy Tail.

I'm pulling just to support Red. He's a main on my team cause it let's me enjoy the game.

The game is designed for basic teams. Red 13's lightning element was reduced to Aeris Zack's team, but in the end it depended on Gacha.

Playing with red is like intentionally handicapping yourself, or setting the game to hard mode. He's one of my favorite characters, too, but there's not much i can do with him. I keep leveling him (mostly with hope that's he'll be useful, one day), and i often attempt to take on event bosses and fights with him on the team. But, i feel like i spend less time fighting, and more time going back and adjusting the team around him. And yeah, i jumped on the Yuffie banner out of excitement, and expectation that she probably won't get anything else for a long time. That being said, I'm ftp, so probably won't attempt any other banner for a long time.

Sad day. That said, looking forward to your future rebirth playthrough just to see you gush over your favorite characters. Nanaki teams, oh baby.

Im very disappointed but i still pulled the outfit just because its been soo long since we've had a red costume lol it does make him better tho so i don't regret it 😊

so did i waste 30k blue crystals for the good boys costume? i didnt have one yet for him so went for it but was very unlucky with the stamps

I missed out on the sephy fire outfit by 1 stamp and that sorta made me quit the game for a solid week- i was devastated LOL

They really should implement a way to learn c. abilities so you don't need the specific weapon if u want to use that c. ability. Like I said before they should look at DFFOO. DFFOO had a great weapon upgrade system.

I feel like Red and Barret have been treated so bad. Barret only has event weapons, no banners since the first, and like 2 costumes. Red has around the same. It's so disappointing

I'll say the same thing I said on Nitelight9's video: the developers clearly signalled that they've abandoned Red when he wasn't on the fire banner. Why do Glenn, Matt, and Lucia exist? Why are they trying to shoehorn their failed mobile Fortnite (seriously!?) into the FF7 universe? Why do all three of these characters have more outfits than Barret and - until yesterday - Red? Why do a third of my ticket draws go to filler who nobody remembers and who should have been Cid, Vincent, and Yuffie? A majority of the First Soldier campaign was so dull that the characters themselves literally complained about the grind in the story's dialogue! Were disgruntled FS designers actually trolling us? When things finally started to pick up, we got baby Sephiroth!? If there ever was a villain that didn't need a redemption arc, it was him. Every time you see one of Lucia's guns appear in your weapon draw, always remember that it could have been Vincent's.

They need to make fights where you need to damage multiple enemies evenly before aoe damage is viable. Even then, we have summons that do it, so it’s going to have to be implemented thoughtfully. As of now, it’s such a wasted aspect.
