The bird with the cherry in its mouth gave me a smile. The birds in my yard left me one cherry that I discovered when I was grooming my tree up a bit. I enjoyed eating it immensely. As much as I love gardening and flowers, this post on the birds was a heart stealer.

Hi Jeri, How lucky you are to have been sent a Fortnum package. They have been around a long time and I love their biscuits. I had a very large oak tree on the property I was renting in Florida that basically hung over the house and right on top of my bedroom and when we would have a bad storm I was always afraid it was going to crush me in bed 😮. I wish you were my sister😂that means I could come and visit, learn, listen, see.. all that is you! And maybe, if I were your sister, I too, might have inherited some of your artistic talents. When I typed the work “visit”, a memory came to mind. Growing up in the hills of WV, visiting family meant no invitation needed. We all would pop in anytime..open that screen door “hello”. Or just join family on the porch. Never felt unwelcomed. We shared news, food, starts to plants. Every Sunday, my Mom cooked Sunday dinner. Somehow we always had enough for whom ever might stop by for a visit. A traditional, no longer. But I do love our RU-vid visits! (KH)

Your birds are so sweet! You are so creative. I don't understand how you have the time, but I know your art is a priority. I'm retired, and all I have, at the moment, is my garden to take care of and it's more than I can handle right now. I am not a naturally organized person, and I know being organized makes a huge difference. I know you do all your own filming, but do you do all your own tech work too, or do you have help with the editing? I am so amazed by YT videographers. And I believe you live the life you portray in your videos. So many don't. I know many YT vloggers are idealistic views of what a life might be like, but life behind the scenes is so different than what we see in the glimpses they give us--though I am still very thankful for them. ...Your DIL is a blessing! Love for tea is a wonderful thing to share with someone. I think I would like the Russian Caravan and the Ceylon tea, I do love a good black tea; but I've never cared for the smokey Lapsang Souchong, or any smokey tea. I love the smell, just not the taste. Which is odd maybe since I adore wood smoked foods. ...I will look into the Vego seed trays. I've just become aware of "air pruning" seed trays. A few years ago I invested in some good quality regular seed trays, so I don't really have a need for new ones, but I like the idea of the air pruning. ...I can't remember, do you have "Basket Flower" growing wild there? It's blooming everywhere in N. TX right now and I just learned it is also fragrant! So many wildflowers are, and due to all the rain the wildflowers have been wonderful this year. ...The daylilies are blooming here now. If yours aren't already blooming, I know they will be soon. ..I'm looking forward to seeing how you use all your new fallen tree wood! I've been collecting old fence posts and rocks for bed edgings, and stumps for planting sedum and succulents in, but maybe later this summer, when it's too hot to do anything else, I've been thinking I may collect some willow branches and try my hand at some of the garden projects you've shown us. I have pines and they come down all the time. "A long time" to process ours is more like months and months! 😂My favorite part was the beautiful needle felted birds. You mentioned foxes; I have a mother and 4 or 5 kits living in my backyard now. I have a film of them. I wish I could make needle felted ones for my new granddaughter's room! My daughter and I had a beginner's lesson from a friend, but my daughter was more of a natural at it. I'm going to share this video and the felted birds with her. 😊😊
