Turat I think is Astringent taste. the kind of assorted podi's Shruti was talking about I think is available in a store in Matunga called Giri traders. This is bang opposite the flower market where they sell all kinds of large garlands. They bring authentic stuff from TN and Karnataka. Ive got a few different kinds of stuff in the past from here.
The way Shruti has knowledge on Nizam food and can differentiate it from Rayalaseema food despite it not being a part of her culture by birth, that's an open-minded, curious soul right there.
