Hi i want to solder cables of my se215. Which type of solder do i need to use (%60 SN / %40 Pb) OR (%99,3 Sn / %0,7 Cu) AND which thickness 0.5mm or 0.75mm

what type of wire and gauge are you using? The ribbon on my 535 broke when taking it apart

Do you set the temp of the iron to a particular setting? I find that when I try and solder the wires, after I burn off the protective coating, the wires go black very quickly and I can not tin the wires at all. Yes maybe I should use flux but the solder I have contains flux...idk

Thanks for the video! In my case, the plastic of the older shell is glued to the receptor, which I wanted to re-use. What should I do, at this point? I've tried to break the plastic until it gets thin enough to fit in the new shell, but that hasn't worked yet. Best

Heat the receptor(connector) and remove the plastic fully

I bought iem casing similar to this model but the inside shape can insert 2 dynamic driver. How can i connect the 2nd driver with the first driver then connect to mmcx?

You need to work out the crossover and hook them up via link wires

I have a pair of shure 846 and the shell has come lose and the black and red wires have detatched. Do i solder the red wire to the middle of the female mmxc connector and the black to one of the sides? Do i need special soldering wire like silver? Thanks for your help

Yes red is to the middle. Do not use silver solder for 846. Use regular leaded ones as that what the factory uses

Once you open up the 530 it will be quite obvious as the wires are color labled, if I'm not wrong the wire thickness is 28awg, it's quite thick

Do you know if the SE535 driver fits properly in the SE846 housing? Also, do you know of any US sellers for replacement housings? I am very impatient when it comes to ordering from overseas.

No they don't fit at all, also I don't think there are US sellers if you can't find them online

These conversions are usually achieved via dongles, because a hardware mod will also require printing of custom boards and building custom buttons etc + batteries
