And it's good, because these immoral thieves don't deserve any better. Shutting down their evil operation is too good for them, since it doesn't get us the money back or get them in jail. But... it's a start. Every little bit helps.

100% The sheer amount of stress, suffering they cause to millions a year scamming is huge. Love to see people being proactive getting their hands in uncomfortable places to make them feel some fear. Lol

​@@ryanroznowski2263Even just a simple warning during the install, cautioning about common scams. Similar to how browsers warn you before entering the developer console on Facebook

Not to mention that their English is really bad. "Steve" "Watson's" is the worse that I've heard.

They also only know variations of MF and GFY. A 12yo on a COD MW lobby would wipe the floor with them. If they could even understand them, that is- their emotional maturity and creativity in insults might be right on par, but their English is worse.

@arsenicsyndrome7602 their accents aren't exactly the same, but the majority of this type of scammers are from the same few countries, in places where the economy is bad and the government doesn't care. This isn't an attack on any person from those countries who isn't a scammer, or didn't create the systems that empower these scammers.

Don't feel bad about getting scammed. They are professionals, and have a lot more practice at scamming people than most people have detecting scams.

I would say that most people have been or will be scammed in some way at some point throughout their lives. Even if it’s for $10. There’s no shame in being scammed, just in scamming.

they didnt create a gateway, they created a very helpful remote assistance tool that bad people abused. don't blame the software for people misusing it.

Must be nice to even be listened to I told my mom about kit last year and she completely ignored me and got scammed. Luckily she realized it was fishy when they asked for her money she at least was smart to ask me what was going on first and I told her.

Once a gang on a gas-service marked vehicle said my granny to clear around the stove so they'll set her a new one. Granny with old dad realised it's fishy, but one of bastards just holded the door on the kitchen while others took some stuff. (not crazy much, but it's sad). cops are useless shit, so nothing later.... Then assholes alike called my mom and talked about water quality check. They surely wanted to make her do some stupid shit while they do their shit.. damn. I heard this call - like my mom talked with em too much, felt sorry for reconstruction here, sayin them she got nothing to steal but I have and i\ll be at work. But I shouldn't go to work that day!! oh I wish to meet them with a pipe. but she was too ashamed she couldn't help em enough and they didn't get a meeting((( And this story is about the last time. I was at work and "technician" came here to tell my mom that gas company is starting to pump new gas which has no odor. (lol. which is always added specially) so she needs gas sensors in every room for a crazy total bill. She just hadn't this money, otherwise she would pay them..... damn. Must be nice to even be listened to. I'm so sorry I didn't kill anybody(

There was one who called my Dad on Saturday a bunch of years ago who wanted to “refund” him some money. Interesting part was he called in the late morning and the banks around here close at 1 pm on Saturdays.
