I'm starting to work on music a little more consistently again after escaping Techdog's gravitational field, thought I'd share a little something as a treat for everyone sticking around while I regather my voice.
Honestly shocked it didn't take you longer to bounce back from TECHDOG, even I'm still processing the whole thing, I can't imagine how emotionally taxxing it must've been for the creator
honestly I listened through 1-7 on release and now I just rifle through to find the one with the melody stuck in my head. I wish I wasn't so dependent on song titles kekeke
@@NerdyMathmagician "Crown Shy" by Plaid is another one. "Solace in Structure" by Max Cooper, particularly the latter half of the track, is yet another. Highly recommended.
it's wild how much better i like this compared to similar music within the same sort of nebulous genre. i don't feel like i'm being subjected to uncontrolled chaos, you know? this feels calculated. music where every glitch is handcrafted and slotted into its ideal little home. a cohesive and unified journey into a crystalline dream. and OH MY GAWDDDDD i just reached 2:00 . it's a pivot for sure, but it is SO welcome. this whole thing is held together with caterpillar threads, and it seems like unrelated platonic solids, but when you step back and view it from the correct angle you can tell these critters have a psychic link. they're making art together. looking forward to what comes next :- ) take your time. or don't! i've got enough dogs in my house already 🐶💌
Oh yeah. Patricia did intently compose this one. For its 12 hr album techdog it used a generative method of composition where it's randomly generated based on what u program it to do but she made a post saying she's going back to deterministic where u manually compose it
The chords around the 2 minute mark were such a welcome surprise. The second half feels so hopeful. It always blows me away how you can make something so dense with textures and so many little sounds without it every feeling messy. Great work ^w^
your music never fails to always feel so emotionally evocative without using lyrics, and completely devastating when they are added. literally sounds like the thoughts in my head changing in real time, absolutely love it
I’M SO EXCITED TO HAVE A NEW SONG BY YOU OUT!! You have quickly become one of my favorite artists. genuinely. I think it’s so hard to find someone who can make any kind of media with the kind of raw emotion that you can. honestly, I’ve almost become somewhat reliant on your music some days. hopefully with the small mental boost your music provides, I can walk on my own two legs again. but until then, I’ll just sit here.. welcomed by the gentle beats and sounds as the evening draws on. thank you
After listening to it for a while I have come to believe that this has a new quality. It was overwhelming at first, but now I think I can put it into words. The music feels freer, cleaner and more joyful. I often come back to this and it never fails to bring me happyness.
Something about this track really reminds me of a lot of the music in Kirby Canvas Curse, it's likely because of the texture of many of the sounds, and the chaotic quality of the melody lines. Thanks again for blessing us with this musical equivalent of a deep brain cleanse, it's truly refreshing!!
OMG. For just a random video I found and clicked on it, this was way better than I expected! I wasn't ready for some sonic liquid gold in the format of weird and delightful patterns of beats! It scratches a very specific part of my brain that only Thom Yorke was able to do it before. Love at first listen and instantly a fan. Now excuse me while I go on a rabbit hole trip to your music catalog! :3
I know we can't always have furniture floating in the art deco dimension... But if I ever learn home I'm making a music video for this with a grey L shape sofa floating in the "white walls, black metal, varnished wood and loadsa houseplants" dimension!
Sounds like the Wii boot up jingle lagging and glitching out until some kind of bizzare funk spirit possesses it like those old creepypastas and it reprograms the console into a sentient AI that's in the process of analyzing all the media on itself to contruct itself into something beautiful but strange
It's fascinating, because the bigger beats at the start felt more impactful, but you really start to feel the mood of the song through the smaller ones as they persist - plus they have greater impact as they do so (maybe that's just how brains work though)
uuuuuu, this was a bop. Love the overall feel and details, in particular, the added bits after the 1 minute mark, and the slow lead in to the vocalized outro.
Sick With this as background music I can finally imagine a battle scene, beings of pure crystalline structure; to a fate akin to death. The completed aftermath will have decimated forces on both sides.
It’s gonna be hard for me to describe how perfect this sounds to me; But I’ll try to do so in a few paragraphs. The flow of this is absolutely mental. It’s perfect. The way every single sound meshes with everything else, in a fluid-like way, it’s amazing. I do this thing where I bop my head to music, but not the beat, each note. It’s perfect for that. The feeling the sound gives off is incredible, it’s comparable to what one would think of when given the prompt “sci-fi glitch-melodic-rhythm”, which doesn’t really make sense, but I think it’s what would fit the most. The notes feel like they “crumble” in a way, then just seamlessly flow into the next. I can imagine playing this in a rhythm game, maybe 6-key osu!mania. This song is just perfect for me, not much else I can say.
HELL YEAH! i love your music, i have a bunch saved on a decade old phone that I use as an mp3 player, the vibes are so good, thanks for making such cool stuff!!
Hi! First time commenter for you! Adore all of your work, will be buying all of your bandcamp albums as soon as I am able, and you've become one'a my favorite artists out there! Keep up the wonderful work, and keep being a good girl
so so excited to see what you're working on! while i'd love your releases to come sooner than later, your mental and physical health come before your fans and their desire to hear your music, just a reminder :)!
such a good song it made my neck feel warm and around the 2 minute mark i felt weird shivers(?) down my spine and i usually feel those at good vocals or things like that also lol this was uploaded on my birthday
