Siakoy or Shakoy is a Filipino twisted fried doughnuts coated in granulated sugar. It is also sometimes called Bicho Bicho and Lubid Lubid. This is a favorite snack item for most Filipinos because they are affordable and delicious. This is one of the often requested recipes in my class. I hope you will try out this time tested recipe.

I made this one, and it turned out great! Thanks Chef...❤ Chef, may I know the best way to store it, and if we eat it next day, how should it be reheated, by frying or microwave?

Like fried donuts, they are best eaten on the day you make them. You can reheat in the microwave for a few seconds only but reheated siakoy are not the greatest.

You can bake. Air fry okay too but it won't taste as good. 350F

Yes you can if you yeast is freeze stable.

Baka po Chef, ang ginamit ko na Yeast ay active. Wala po akong mahanap na Instant dry yeast

Chef noong nilagay ko na ang dough sa oil, nag rise sya ang laki ng Siakoy ko. What happened there Chef? I wanted to attach a picture to show you my output

If I understood you, tama naman ang nangyari. The dough should rise and become big when you fry it in oil. If you want a smaller piece, braid only about 40 -50 grams.

After ko ginawa ang braid, I let it rise for 45mins

After you braid, pwede 30 minutes lang and pa alsa kung ma init sa inyong lugar. If you are abroad at least one hour.
