Watching this from a very rainy Vancouver (Canada). Making me miss all the beautiful Sicilian summers I had as a kid (and the very short Sicilian summer I had last year!). Great job, Kylie! It's gorgeous, as always. Thank you for all the feelings you're making me feel.

The climax at the end of this spectacular video had me sobbing. I have lived in this country for 30 years and created a family here. No MATTER how hard things can get I still experience a child like amazement living in such a stunning country. Hi Kylie. Another beautiful cinematic love letter to Italy (and now I need to see the movie, "L'Avventura"). In the U.S., Conan O'Brien has a producer who is not Italian but is famous for loving Italy too. He has said that, after visiting most countries, he found them interesting, but didn't feel a compulsion to return. However, he has been to Italy about 30 times because the art, architecture, food, people, and culture just keep drawing him back. I think that you and he have a lot in common. It's always a joy for me when you have a chance to meet and chat with the locals. You can learn a lot about a place by just listening to their perspective. As always, your editing is amazing. So different than 99% of the videos on RU-vid. You truly do create a mini-movie or documentary masterpiece. I'd love to see all of the work you put into your videos. Perhaps you could put a camera behind you as you work and just speed it up (for purposes of time) to show us what goes into all of your editing. The finished product is beautiful, but I suspect that we have no idea how many hours went into it. Whether it's food, art, or architecture, Italians believe in doing things well and have a tremendous attention to detail. Your videos are much the same. You care about them more than most RU-vidrs and the finished product always leaves us wanting more. That's the magic of Italy. Bravissimo! :-)

Everything in this video gives me an abundant feeling of joy. Your words about Italy resonate with me and keeps me seeking after it constantly. The language, the way of life, the food, the whole mindset Italians graciously share. The last part of our trip to Italy this summer was to Milan and Lake Como. The lovely people you interviewed are accurate in saying people in the south are warmer. However we met more than a handful of people that were very warm, generous and just very special overall. I think you attract people that are like in heart and soul. It is a mystery and blessing to feel accepted and cared for by others you have just met.

I just watch 1, 2 and 3... this is where we went on our last family holiday (before the pandemic ruined tourism) - we did a tour of the islands and briefly Sicily... My favourite place was Lipari. We went at a time when Stromboli was erupting, and we saw it at night from a boat. I will never forget it.

I’m a new subscriber, but I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of weeks now. I’m sicilian, from Messina and I know Eaolian islands because I’ve been there a lot, even this summer. Your sicilian journey was romantic, raw, dreamy. I confess that this last video made me cry a little bit, because I’m easy to “occhi lucidi” when something gives me strong emotions. You made me love my island even more. And now that I’m back in Torino alone, after 3 months in my home land with my family, you managed to bring me back there with my loved ones♥️ Sicily is an AMAZING place, unfortunately for us young people there’s not much and they’re not doing anything to keep us there. I moved 7 years ago to Torino, but everyday I wonder how magic would it be to live there forever. I wish Sicily will change some day, and I’m not talking about the land, I’m talking about people, the politics who stole our future, and are sending us up north or abroad to survive.

I am always left so moved emotionally, so wanting to be there.This desire to be there feels like the pull of destiny that cannot be explained rationally. Its completely irrational according to all the conforms and boxes society create, but maybe that is where we live the most, when we leave the rational word for the so called "irrational" and then we find ourselves.
