Sid Vicious discusses how Hulk Hogan was backstage in WCW, Kevin Nash as the booker and stories behind the Monday Night Wars. Full shoot ➤ TitleMatchNetwork.com
During the 1990s, there was no hotter feud than the Monday Night Wars between WCW and WWF. Hulk Hogan was a top heel in WCW, Kevin Nash was wrestler and booker and Vince McMahon was the competition in WWF.
Sid Vicious (aka Sycho Sid, the Millennium Man) would play a pivotal role in both promotions during the hottest time in TV wrestling history.

I saw Sid about 8 years ago at a gym in Memphis. At the time there was some new WWE talent in town for show at the FedEx forum, couple of them (Daniel Bryant and Natalie Hart) were getting in a workout. Then SID walks in... and you remember the difference between what we have now and the "Golden Age". Made everyone else look like a shrimp. And the new talent approached him with the reverence and respect you would would expect in the business. Class act. He would help you train if you were new to lifting, he would answer your questions. He has always given back to the fans and the young talent.

The new guys could work circles around them but they don't have that physical presence the older guys had. Sid had the most amazing look, he was an attraction. That's something that's really missing in wrestling today is physical presence.

I`ll always remember the first time Sid came into the WWF in the early 90`s under the "Justice" moniker. I was only 8 yrs old and I was terrified of him! But at the same time, astonished. His look, his presence and his ability to hype the live audience up was God-like

The reason that these guys era had such great psychological mind is because they came up in a time where there were many different territories and different points of view for them to learn from. The talent today only has 1 point of view.
@tomtalker2000

Sid definitely has a GREAT mind for this business. He really knows "in ring psychology" and that's so vitally important. And quite honestly i feel is missing from today's product that's being put out. So sad that today's talent just doesn't seem to understand that. And is more concerned with pulling off there "spots" then engaging and grabbing the crowds attention.

@@matthewlane518 Lol, me and my buddy were watching AEW at a bar the other night, he's like, "its just counter after counter after counter" lol. Looks way too fake and pointless, they do a million Finishers a match
@johnselwitz5362

@@Tony-fq5bnExactly, and there’s some things I like about AEW but the matches are just so ridiculous sometimes, as if I’m watching two people play Smackdown Shut Your Mouth on PS2 and they start the match with unlimited finishers. A lot of those guys in AEW grew up watching those big All Japan main events where the two guys would hit each other with multiple finishers and continue to kick out, it’s where they take inspiration from. But a lot of those guys don’t understand that in those main events from All Japan, there was months of storytelling leading up to the match, and it may have been the fourth or fifth match that those two guys have had, and there was still psychology in those matches and it was properly built up over time. There’s NONE of that in AEW other than a very rare exception every now and then. It’s just counter, counter, counter, finisher, kick out, another finisher, another kick out, rinse and repeat for 20 minutes.

What he said about Fresno is spot on. Every show I have ever gone to in Fresno, the wrestlers put minimal effort in and they have not had a live TV taping for WWE Raw there since 2012. Why I will not pay to go there ever again.

In 1991 I watched a pro wrestling event in London Ontario Canada. Their were two main events. One had Sqvage against warrior, warrior won after a decent match and the second main event had justice take on mean mark ominous. Alias the undertaker. When taker was basically feared by all as the unbeatable wrestler at the time. To make along story short? Sid dominated the dead man from the opening second. And didn’t take too long to win the match. Sid slapped taker silly. In about 15 minutes. And then piledrived taker 7 straight times . Every time he did? Taker sat up and reached for the urn held by Paul bearer. Then taker stood up. Only to get pile driven into the mat head first again. Except for the 7 th time that Sid pile drove him head first into the mat. The last time he did it? Undertaker sat up , reached for the urn and then fell back down onto his back. He lay there dazed while Sid pinned him. One two three. Cleanly. It was interesting to see the undertaker dominated so soundly by another wrestler at a time when the wwf was billing taker as the undefeated phenom. In fact a month later on national tv live they were still billing taker as undefeated. Yet I knew that wasn’t true because I saw taker get annihilated and defeated soundly by Sid justice a month prior to that. Live and right in front of my eyes. Lord humongous aka Sid threw the punisher alias the undertaker around like a rag doll in that match. So what’s that? Pro Wrestlings way of lying to fans in order to booster wrestlings image? And ratings? Whatever. Either way The main event I saw was funny. That day. Why? Because of raker. Six times he got up from a Sid pile driver. In a row. Not easy to do. The 7th time he got up too. And reached for the urn. As his his style or game. In wrestling. Obviously. The way he did that? And then fell back onto his back? It was funny. It was actually Oscar worthy acting. Factually speaking.
