Siege is very good at what she is meant to do: being the tankiest girl to ever guard a van. Her module means she can actually just stay on the field the entire time as a decent laneholder. However, it's basically a guarantee that she gets an alter, and it'll probably be a far more interestingly archetype.

I rolled siege on the beginner banner and honestly she pretty much single handedly carried me through the early game. I was actually convinced for a while that I had rolled the best operator from the banner. She saved my life in a couple stages because I wasn't able to deploy enough fire power fast enough. But then you just place Siege wherever you are having trouble and she takes care of business.

She is max potential now she whispered to me softly "it's sieggin tiem" I went to the base and checked my training room Siege has reached M9 status eager to test my newfound power, I attempted the hardest stage of them all, 1-7. with just solo Siege the enemies charged quickly towards Siege as I was preparing myself to witness the absolute carnage that Siege is about to unleash, the enemies stopped right in front of Siege. They started kneeling in respect. at that point I realized that was the end. I beat Arknights.

*All the original 6 stars were bad Looks at SA, Nihgtingale, Saria, Exusiai. And if we expand that to the first several months we get to throw in Ifrit, Eyja, Ceobe, Hoshi and Schawrz. All of whom remain some of the best in their class for overall use and can often compete (and in some cases/situations outcompete) the subclasses dedicated to something else :V This is why the inevitable royal Siege Alter will not only remain a Vanguard but will either gain a new subclass or else be a flag vanguard who isn't invalidated by Myrtle

The one reason to use siege is for AFK strats of DP generation that need someone modestly tanky AND have use for her s2. As someone who accepts any and all excuses to use siege, yet use her together with myrtle and bagpipe to annihilate people, i wish hypergryff would just give her hammer skill DP generation and her talents gave twice the stats. Siege is such a great design and the main reason I play arknights (saw her around and fell in love with how she looked, then got lucky getting her as my starter 6*), it kills me so badly that they just did such an atrocious module for her when bagpipe and so many others basically become gods with them at just lv 1.

I know Siege is great and all, but... Have you seen the newly dropped GOD of vanguards Vigil himself? I mean... he has MULTIPLE infinite DP generation skills with INSANE arts dmg built in. Not to mention the three wolves he comes with which has busted stats, ignores massive amounts of armor, AND has multiple lives. On top of that, you know what will happen when Vigil targets the same enemy his wolves block? BIG arts dmg times BIG multiplier. INSTANT KILL. He breaks the game imo... Love the easter eggs btw

I got siege very early in my account and she was essentially a dp generating guard

i actually used Siege for quite a while when i got her from the newbie banner. in the early game there's actually a niche for a two-block lane holder that costs a small amount of DP to deploy, but as my roster filled out, it became really obvious what her issues are. hopefully her module will be OP?

Compared to other vanguards, the Pioneer branch, of which Siege is the only one worth talking about, has 2 block instead of 1, a stunning 100% increase. This is why Siege is the best vanguard

I got Siege really early in the game and been using her for ages! Eventually got Bagpipe like maybe a month ago and yeah... I use Siege far less now. Still, her hammer's weird radius (1 tile in each direction) and AoE damage is sometimes really nice. I also sometimes just let her wail on some stationary high def enemy to print DP while slowly killing it.

I actually did use Siege S3 in critical place. During Wolumunde first run her S3 stun was what allowed me to stall Mudrock long enough to kill, also additional dps was nice, would have spent days otherwise

Totally agree, i had a bunch of e2 vanguards already before I got Siege and she became my number one pick when I dont need to deploy entire team in one minute. Because you can just deploy her and forget, she most likely wont die and leak until your entire squad is ready. And because I'm sometimes way too lazy to manually activate vanguard skills. And because there will be no injury gimmick to fuck you up if you need a vanguard right before blue box. And because its Saber edit: 7:11 excuse me wtf i didnt knew about that one, tysm!

I always had a sweet spot for siege, as my first *6. I always try to fit her into any of my team, even though its getting harder and harder these days. They really to do some updating for all of the original release *6. Welp, maybe not all of them since some of them are still extremely strong today.

I just realized i didnt use siege a lot recently, my vanguard always have been myrtle alone or myrtle+texas since texas gives extra DP. Its mainly because the stupid last 2 events we got making i prioritize DP more, before stultifera events, i actually extensively use siege even in annihilation.

Siege ignoring SP lockout is a super-wacky niche mechanic, but I do hope that they consider making reworks of Operator kits, because some of these are dated as hell

You joke about "If only my Vanguards had 20 extra atk/def" but when chapter 7 dropped this was a real issue for me. Texas got killed by bears too fast and Zima couldn't kill bears fast enough. Siege not only could survive a bear attack but she could kill them before more bears came. Also since all 6*s get 2 modules and her 2nd module would (logically) have to be about her SP talent and -DP cost I could see Siege's 2nd module making her ironically good again.

I got Siege from recruit recently. Although it wasn't bagpipe, I still instantly E2'd her and got some masteries. She's exactly the tanky vanguard I needed against early rush maps since I don't have Mountain.

watching this a week after i got the senior op tag in recruitment with vanguard tag too, hoping for Bagpipe. but now i am happy i got Siege because she's the most meta busted vanguard to ever guard and i wasted my time being disappointed cuz Bagpipe isnt real

Honestly speaking, I have never understood the Siege "hate". She might be the weakest 6-star vanguard, but she is still very strong on her own right. There being other stronger alternatives doesn't inmediately make a certain operator bad... If that was true, my squad would be completely filled with blue women. Despite having all other vanguards except for Flametail, I still find that I use Siege and Saga/Texas more than any other vanguards in my main team. Those two alone are able to serve as vanguards for 90% of the stages in the game. It's just the ol' reliable for me. Sometimes, everything that an operator needs to shine is being very convenient to use, and Siege does exactly that. Together with Bagpipe S2, she is the most used vanguard in minimum button presses clears. And lastly, I would like to emphasize that the power difference between lower rarity and 6-star pioneer vanguards is huge. For a new player, having Siege can be even more impactful. She alone has enough dps to replace two lower rarity vanguards in regards to laneholding.

This video was one of the main reasons why I started to play Arknights and when I watched it my absolute lack of knowledge about the game made all the sarcasm on the video fly over my head just like all the enemies fly around my screen because I tried using Siege instead of a real unit.

Good points, not everyone is a whale or super veteran so those traits are VERY useful. It's of little surprise why Siege and Texas have the most Rule 34 of any characters in the game, let alone among the Vanguards. Back before I started playing this game, I've always wondered who the heck are these two catgirl and dog girl who are always getting plowed by a lion and a dog?

I am new so I can't tell how serious you are but I use siege, bagpipe, and myrtle and they tend to work well for getting out my e2 silverash buffed by warfarin. I feel like I have pretty good gatcha luck.

Siege is my pick over Saga, Flametail, and Saileach because she just does so. Much. Damage. And the sp gain from talent can make some funny things happen. Super comfy op to use.

I've heard the argument that Saga's better, and sure Bagpipes has way greater dps output + her module increases her dp gen by a lot. But Siege is a very consistent vanguard with ok bulky stats and AOE physical for lane holding. Just, too good.
