@@DarwinsBeerReviews they have a very good beer selection. And so does Whole Foods. I don't do my grocery shopping at those stores, but I will go to Sprouts or Whole Foods to buy beer.
Not everyone can handle super hardcore bitter ipas. IPAS like this, Lagunitas and Firestone Mind Haze are aimed toward ppl who love craft beer but may not be IPA drinkers but still enjoy the characteristics. Also readily available, good quality, affordable, so it makes sense ipas w lower bitterness exist.
I really liked this one upon release, I thought it was pretty damn good for the price. You could pick this up in any store and you won't be disappointed. It's really easy to drink and refreshing but not boring. I haven't had it in a while but I need to revisit. You know, re-reviews are so valuable imo. You find this in all kinds of connoisseur type hobbies-- from cigars, to people who are really serious about tea, or beer drinkers, etc-- these products just change. Consistency is really hard, first of all, and then time and storage conditions change the product, and then there's your internal body chemistry. So revisiting things has a lot of value, I'm really glad for the re-reviews lately, they're fascinating
@@DarwinsBeerReviews Oh gosh. You once recommended me Elysian Space dust which I tried as a result of that(thank you), would love to see a re-review of that.
I remember one of my friends brought a 12 of this over when I was in high school. I remember surprisingly liking it ok but I haven’t tried it since. I definitely need to look for it
I usually get them pretty fresh in Vegas and I enjoy them, very good starter into craft beer. I also get just the good ol pale ale often and that beer fresh is hard to beat.
Yes, this beer is very popular because of the price point, pick this up at Costco for $24 a case, by far not my favorite, but friends and family enjoy it at gatherings, so I purchase it, New Belgium is hands down much better $32 a case for their very good mixed pack
Cool! -a regular in the rotation. And it is a concert go-to for me in AVL. I was kinda surprised you didn't like it that much the first time. Clean light and zingy
This beer along with Bell's Official are two beers that when they are fresh and handled well, dollar for dollar, are the best IPAs I can get. However, when they are off they are waaaaaaay off.
Glad you got fresh and great $ Here is a my story with SN Back in 1996 in moved to the west coast from NY(still here) I started drinking their Pale Ale on a regularly Few years later I was working on the Las Vegas strip in one of the big Resorts, my job was ordering and receiving all food and beverages Bringing this beer in by 45 cases per pallet, I noticed that could never get this beer fresher than about a month old Reached out to SN to ask why, I was told because they “Bottle Condition “ their beers I am wondering if the same is still true Maybe you know
At 6 dollars a six pack, and only 3 weeks old... i think i may have picked up a case. When this beer first hit the shelves years ago, it was very low on the flavor. They improved it, like a year later. For me its all about finding this beer fresh, but still a decent deal regardless.
We'll grab a large can or two of that from the gas station (popular place that sells a lot food /drinks) for like $2.25. Its a total steal for what you get.
This is so true, I've paid 4-6 dollars for worse. It's -the- bang for your buck hazy if you ask me. Another one I often get is Brooklyn Brewery Soft Pack, same price
If you view it on mobile it doesn't show up, but if you switch to desktop view, you will see all the hops in all their beers.. but yes in mobile browser its missing...
I know u have reviewed a few of the beers I have said as u said coming soon is goon squad. I got a few other beers for u depth perception 9.1 percent imperial ipa from terrapin brewery and also if you have not done it try from M.I.A brewery tourist trapp a 10 percent american style belgium triple
BRO I didnt like it a few years ago either, i prefer it over new belgiums grapefruity hops. Its way easy to drink too fast and just suoer smooth withou5 being too fruity
Sierra Nevada makes some great beers (SNPA, Torpedo, Celebration, Narwhal, Bigfoot), but this beer sucks: it’s not fruity/tropical like the good hazies, nor is it impactful, bitter, and aggressive as a good West Coast IPA. Nothing at all stands out, except a weird salty note.
