Sabrina, I have visited Sifnos 9 times for around a month each time. You really have showcased it well. And yes it doe# make you relax completely. The view from your room is the best ever. Every time I come around the corner on my quad bike and see Kastro I am in awe of its beauty. Great job.
In 1979 we intended a Summer of island-hopping, quickly found Sifnos, Kastro its jewel & stayed for three months. The view from our room was similarly something to wake up to, the people in the village so welcoming, with many other places on the island to explore (the road system was not so developed then). I've been back since, enjoyed seeing old friends, making new ones & visiting old haunts. That was such a good Summer.
I'm a solo traveler as well from Greece and i'll visit Sifnos mid September. Your video helped me so much for ideas of where to go. Can you please write more details about which cruise you took to go to Polyaigos? Cause you really influenced me to go there..
Lovely video I must say! In September I’ll be in Kastro for the third time.The first was back in -94 and the second in -96 and of course Kastro had me at hello. Beneath that little chapel that you went to before having those drinks I’ll be sunbathing and cliff diving for two and a half weeks. I’m so longing for it!!!
Go in June before the tourists. Get to the "main drag" and find the pottery guy. Talk him down to $30 US per night. Nice rooms, clean, right across from the captain's bar and next door to Pano's restaurant - best in the world. Don't tell anyone else ok?
