Review of Sig P365XL Gray frame, external safety with Holosun 407K optic, Tactical Development Base pads, LakeLine LLC basepads, M&P shield comparison, pro mag magazines Keepers Drill FAST Drill
Thanks for the insight on the Lakeline base pads. I just picked up my 365 tonight and already ordered the gray XL grip module, flat trigger, and 3 Lakeline base pads. Can’t wait to get her setup!
I love Holosun red dots. I have the 507K on my 365XL and love it. I like the reticle option (circle, dot, or both) on the 5xx series more than the single dot 4xx series though. My Holosuns are also all green dot which i think picks up better in most conditions. Unfortunately 5xx series models are more expensive than the 4xx series one and the green versions are more expensive than the red counterparts.
I did notice that on the M&P shield you had at the beginning of the vid you put some grip tape if I'm not mistaken the front of the slide I was just thinking that and ran across your vid, niceee,🥳 I do like the P365XL with optic Awesome
My new EDC is the P365 xl with the romeo zero optic. To help with your mag release issue, I put in an extended mag release button & that helped out a lot.
Look at magguts they have a a kit that gives you a baseplate extender think it adds 3/32 to the standard and adds a flat spring that gets you 14 rounds In a 12 round mag for the P365 XL
Not gonna happen. Magpul only makes polymer mags. Since factory sig mags are metal if they made some polymer mags the mag capacity would be like 8 rounds. The two pro mags I have run great.
I have carried firearms with and without. I shoot a lot of 1911 in competition so a safety is no issue for me. Nothing wrong with another level of safety if you train with it and can deactivate it instinctively.
@@evnrayash I've owned a lot of Glocks and I've never owned anything with a thumb safety. I like shooting 1911's but that's it. Plus being a lefty you don't have many choices if you want a thumb safety
Agree, go with the 507KX2. 32 moa Circle with a 2 moa dot will get you acquired on target quicker than searching for a 6 moa dot. You can choose both the circle and dot combination, the circle by itself, or just the dot. More options in my opinion
IMO, the 407k or the 507k is a major upgrade and worth every penny. The Romeo zero is plastic and has a smaller glass so it’s harder to pick up the dot. I haven’t shot with a 507k, but I have the 407k and have no issues picking up the dot when shooting, and it doesn’t wash the target out being a 6 moa.
@Frank Bonazza III it is a fun little gun! I do agree with you on a smaller dot, but I would still take the 407k over the Romeo. 2 moa is perfect! Enjoy the range!
I cannot believe you're doing all of that magazine loading and unloading out of your pistol with the magazines loaded . Not a very safe practice my friend. You are trying to cover too much material I would hate to see you lose your mindset and have an accident.
It’s called a reload drill… one mag empty with a round in the chamber. Draw and fire one round, slide lock, reload, fire one more shot, and then you put the full mag back in mag holder and the empty mag back in the gun. Rinse, wash, repeat. That’s how you become faster at reloading when you get slide lock. So the day that you have to use your gun in a fight and you get slide lock, you know exactly what to do. He’s doing it in a pretty damn safe manner with no one else around and is shooting into a safe area. He’s doing everything right.
