I think it’s the lighting that does it for me, a couple point lights diffusely reflected off the plastic (?) shell of the robot

Count me flipping amazed! The glug simulation and especially intelligent pose interpolation look absolutely amazing! And the touch simulation and adaptive quadruped walking are things id love to get my hands on.

02:06 is the mose impressive one IMO I mean it probably doesn't give you analytic solutions and it probably doesn't work on exact NURBS surfaces si you'd need to generate a FEM mesh but still this could help engineers massivley

@@cninh4574 yeah cause for really good immersion you'd have to simulate things like texture, say if youre holding a tennis ball that has those furry patches held by glue smoothed with silicone or whatever it is, and i can't even begin to postulate on how you would do that. Maybe something with electronically stimulating the nerves to simulate the feel? Idk, im no engineer. And also what if you put your hand in something wet, like a lake... or a turkey? How do you simulate those sensations?

This is a tech display on new and upcoming 3d animation technologies in games, movies and vr. It's quite ground breaking stuff! Almost everything feautured is still in development or early stages, and alot of it is to do with AI.
