Work I performed on this amplifier:
- Removed the "death cap" and changed the line cord to a properly grounded 3-prong cord.
- Replaced electrolytic capacitors in the power supply.
- Replaced the four old, corroded discrete solid state rectifier diodes in the B+ power supply with a new solid state bridge rectifier.
- Replaced the dead tremolo unit with a modern replacement.
- Replaced the dead reverb tank with a modern replacement.
- One "chicken head" knob was missing, so I replaced all nine knobs with brand new (all-matching) chicken-head knobs.
- Tested a representative sampling of coupling and bypass capacitors for DC current leakage. They all tested good, so I concluded that they are film capacitors rather than paper. Therefore I kept them.
- Cleaned all potentiometers with quick-drying contact cleaner, then lubricated and protected them with DeoxIT F100.
