Yes we have accents, literally everyone has an accent. It differs a little based on the state or how far north you are, and some are stronger than others. I've heard the Kansas accent is the closest to a standard American accent, maybe that's what you're referring to.

And finally most GOOD Slytherin’s and Pure Bloods come from North America it’s just those European ones that are the Voldemort and Bellatrix types ! I live in Northern Illinois, it only takes like 40 minutes to get to Wisconsin. Puppy chow and lemonade shakeups are popular here too. Horseshoes are more popular in the country parts of Northern Illinois.
