The break up was definitely temporary. All the signs were there. No contact works!! Your videos have been helping me grow and become more secure for the past 5 years. This break up put everything I've learned into play. It took 3 weeks of no reaching out. I responded when she reached out. When we came face to face at a camping weekend with friends she said she missed me every single day. She saw my social media and thought I had moved on after she broke up with me. She said I looked happy while she was miserable. We reconnected and I did everything that I've learned from Craig. It works! But you have to DO the work. Every. Single. Day. I’m honestly SUPER good at no contact and I know how to navigate every situation and hypothetical conversation except when it comes to if my ex had sex with somebody else. We started to text and everything again, I didn’t believe that she wasn’t talking to somebody else. Then a couple days later my friends tell me she posted her new boyfriend. As much as I loved my ex, leaving in the first place is the ultimate disrespect. I understand that people need to work on themselves, we all do, but that decision to sever ties should show anyone there’s a fundamental lack of respect in the relationship. A notable exception is abuse though. If you or they are abusive then you need to get out of there quickly and with extreme prejudice. Do the work and maintain your self-respect, you WILL be happier in the long run.

Totally hear you. However, it can be very difficult to do necessary work while in a relationship. Its too easy to avoid confronting ones inner discomfort by escaping into the safety of a partner. Being honest about this is not disrespectful - being dishonest and dragging things on is more disrespectful in my eyes.

I say they keep that same energy they had when they left, for when they return they won't find the person with they same energy they left them with. A friend got dumped by her on-and-off again now ex-bf (he was a real douchebag), he started driving by her home on the regular even though he got a new gf. He still messages her after 4 years, she finally moved on but he continues to contact her. She really dodged the bullet on that guy and he still doesn't want her to move on/let go. It's interesting, I think that they might have worked out if he actually worked on himself too, but he never did.

Hi Coach Craig, these are hard because my ex does not go on social media, we don’t have mutual friends, and he’s kind of a loner and is a home body as he doesn’t have but one or two friends or any family here locally. With this, it’s hard to tell with him. Also our breakup was caused by a situation outside of our control and it’s been hard as I don’t think it wasn’t anything we couldn’t have worked through. Saturday he was telling me how much he loved me. My son acted out in a very bad way towards his son and the next day he was at my door saying it was over. He contacted me a couple times since to check in and we even had plans to hang out but he cancelled last minute saying he wasn’t ready to see me yet and that we would have to talk again in the future. It’s been radio silence ever since. I’ve kept in no contact after that time but it’s hard to tell if he still cares or regrets giving up so easily. Going to focus on healing and on myself but some days are so hard. I do hope he reaches out at some point.

Three weeks ago I was thrown out of our apartment. We’d been dating 4 years and living together 5. He was gone for 2 hours and I asked him where he was? What took so long (for one item)? He didn’t like that, blew his too and told me to get TF out!!!!! After that, how could I stay. I packed up my stuff and moved out. I’m crushed. I feel deflated. I’m hurting. I can’t sleep, eat. Yesterday he calls to tell me that he didn’t want to call his mom (37yo) so he called me to tell me that he was feeling very sick, vomiting, dizzy and wanted me to go to the hospital with him. WTF!!!! I took him some soup and ginger ale and went home - to cry. How can he tell me how much he loves me the night before and the next day blow his top and out me out????? This hurts like hell!!!!!

I know my ex fiancé will eventually regret her decision to end things. But she’ll have to learn that the hard way. If I talk her back into it (which I already did once) she will not have learned the value of what I bring to a relationship. And it does make me sad to think that by the time she does come to her senses I may have found someone else by then. She’s almost 24, and we were together for 5.5 years. I think the biggest obstacle she’s facing that she won’t admit to, is that she needs to experience what else is out there. She was in a relationship in high school that was very toxic but lasted a couple years, and then maybe 6 months after that she met me in college. She’s never really experienced being single since she’s been an adult.

Nobody is perfectly “respectful” the way you want. Any spirit of unforgiveness and grudge-bearing will reap a harvest of life-long loneliness. In the Bible, which we consider to be the Word of God, we are told that we should never become “unequally yoked with unbelievers.” The reason for that is simple. It is because it becomes too easy to put a boyfriend/fiancé first in life, and our God (our Creator) second. This would be a recipe for disaster! For a long time, I put my own unbelieving boyfriend first. Then the inevitable…he broke up with me. I had rededicated my life to God first, and that meant I could no longer fornicate with anyone before marriage. Boyfriend wasn’t impressed, so he dumped me. The reason why you hear her call you Honey and love always, is because she has a terrible conflict in her heart. She definitely feels a strong attraction to you, but she also does not want to disobey Jesus, who is the FIRST love of her life. Now here is my advice to you… Continue to go to church, so that you can learn more about Jesus. If you decide, as your girlfriend has, that Jesus is our Creator and the King of our lives, then choose to serve HIM FIRST. Repent of your past sins and keep them in the PAST. Turn your future over to Him. Then ask Him to guide you to making a good decision as to who HE thinks you should marry. It may be her, but it may not be. That would be between you and God. Also, don’t think of yourself as her “church buddy.” She needs to know that your new faith in Jesus is truly SINCERE, and that you’re not just PRETENDING to convert to her religion just to impress her! If necessary, she could attend services at one church, and you could attend services at a different church. If, after all that you learn about Jesus, you STILL cannot accept her faith as your own, then you owe it to her….LET HER GO! Under no circumstances should you continue trying to pursue her, because you are only doing her harm…and sabotaging your own happiness in the process. If Jesus isn’t in your future, then you would be much better off finding someone else who shares the SAME VALUES AND FAITH (or no faith at all) as you do. I hope this helps…

Me and my ex gf dating for 1.5 years and she wanted to breakup but we didn't get to finish the conversation and then she wanted to go on a break a few days later but I think I pushed her a little too much and didnt give her a straight answer about if I wanted to take a break, about week later took some of her stuff back to her house and at begging of convo she said I dont think well ever get back together but long story short at the end of the convo she said the only way she said she could see it working if we rebuilt some trust about our communication and I need a plan for debt repayment (40k). Broke up 5 weeks ago and no contact for 29 days so far. So yeah a little confused, but working on myself and moving on but would be lying if I said I wasn't holding out hope

Well, I had a friend from past I always wanted to date but when we met again she had a boyfriend (10 months relationship). They split up in early April over serious and quite fundamental disagreements. We started to talk more, met few times and agreed that we should try date when she’ll be ready to date again. At the beginning her ex was silent, but then he started to call her few times a day, text her, invite her for dinners and try to meet up. To all that she declined politely. And then she got sick and he came to her house unannounced with groceries and medicines. Next day he came with flowers and promised her that he’ll change, said he can’t live without her and all that stuff. Literally all the things that are supposed not to work. But she took him back. I walked away from her but I’m confused by both - that his actions were successful and that she agreed to take him back after all this 🤔

@rory That’s possible although from what she told me why they broke up it looked to me that it cannot be fixed. Well, she said that there’s no way those problems can be fixed. But when she took him back she told me she still have feelings for him and will give him another chance. But my point is that he didn’t go no contact or walked away but made all the things that supposedly not work and can even ruin your chances. But now they’re together. And I’m kind of disappointed that he succeeded making “mistakes” 😁

Well as Craig says, every break up is different. No two of us are in the same situation and sometimes people make irrational decisions either during breaking up with someone or when getting back with someone.

I know quite a handful of examples of what you've said happening in real life. But also on TV shows: realities and shows about people talking how they met their wife, i.e., many stories about how they gained back their spouses with persistence and their partner ultimately saying "his behaviour confirmed that he would be with me no matter what till the end of the days". May be they had low steem to begin with? I cannot hide it confuses me too

Is it a sign if my break up is temporary? Its because of our last fight and im being immature during our relationship. When i saw her calling with someone i just say to her " i set you free now" because i feel that our relationship fade away. But she reacts that like she dont want to break up with me because and say that guy is just her friend. And then tomorrow morning she says that she want to break up with me. She says a lot of emotions to me saying what happen before that im so toxic and immature and please stop talking to me. She didnt blocked after she broke up and i start not talk to her. Bpd are usually fearful avoidant, thats a mix of both anxious and avoidant, they are dangerous and i would discourage you frim getting back with her. My cousin is BPD she has major lack of empathy and has episodes of nutty behaviour, cant hold down a relationship and is promiscuous as desperate for attention and shes stunning looking. Stay away think amber heard.

At the begining of the breakup ALL of these signs were there... until I lost it and tried to ask her questions and try to get them back (because I didn't know why we broke up she gave me no explanation or clarity whatsoever) :( after that she had blocked my number and we never spoke again... idk if it was me who ruined our chances or what but it hurts

@@rachelledelacruz1688 I think I lost her a long time ago, I just didn’t realized it. I broke my own heart by idolizing her. I gave her everything I could, she took it and was so fast to walk away. It hurts but I have to walk away. In my opinion the best thing one can do, is be honest with them. Tell them how we feel and move on. Leave the ball in their court. Don’t have regrets of what you should have said or done. I did and walked away. Last time we talked she cried a lot and said she still love me and always will but she doesn’t want to work it out. So I had to walk away too and care for me. All the love, energy and attention I gave her, now I give to myself. Good luck!🍀👍

Yes it happened to me some one tried to logging into my Facebook and I am sure it’s him hhhhh😂 and it was during no contact

@@OneYellowFlower each situation and each relationship/friendship is different. It all started going wrong when i told him i had a crush on him at school. Hes a recovering addict and he just messed with my head for over 4 yrs. Its a long story but i think hes got it into his head that im going to cheat on him while im on holiday so he decided to get in there first and call it quits. I had been txting him and i wrote him a letter and i got nothing back. So i decided to block him.
