I've only just discovered this wonderful band, where have i been! That plaint,that melody! wow! what an angelic voice! this sound gives me inner peace and is spine chillingly Godly in its mounting crescendo! it hits the mark it makes my hair stand on end. tell me people does it do that to you? i would like to dedicate "glosoli" to a special lady that was in my life, and to some degrre still is, she is Cecile the love of my life! enjoy my love for when i hear this i think of you! peace to all! xx

what a beautiful song...This song is so beautiful that it nearly hurts..! I would die for this song..It's breathtaking and magical! I wish I could see them live once..! Well..This might also interest some of you who like slow, and beautiful music..I found a band here on youtube some days ago..It's called "Nyctalgia" and you should give a listen to their song "Falling into nothingness". Amazing newcomer aswell, that deserves more attention..trust me..

I went to one of the full concerts in Perth, when they came. It was so magical, and beautiful. Just brilliant. The first time I heard Sigur ros, I wept, its just beautiful.

One of the most amazing concerts I've ever been to. They started playing at 10 in the evening and it lasted well over midnight, and the best part is that it was free.

Yeah I saw them there too, right after the sun dipped behind the mountains. I was amazed how their songs steadily built to an earth-shattering volume... great stuff.

I saw them live in San Rafael and I wouldn't trade that night for meeting Gandhi. They opened with Glosoli and I nearly cried it was so beautiful. I would kill to see them again.

you have to put some stuff on it to make sure the bow doesnt get damaged. and it also wont slide over the guitar strings without this stuff...i forget whats it called...

You can use a bow on any guitar, just means because of the flatness of the bridge you'll only be able to use the bottom and top E strings. Jimmy Page had his bridge raised from the middle sloping down on either side so he could play more strings. So in summary yes you can do it on a normal guitar but you'll just be limited without changing the set up.

he uses large amount of reverb on his voice but still the pain is heard. that´s the worst´s nightmare for vocalists - cold just before a show. here a big guy from opera cancelled a show 15min before start and sent everyone home. smart idea

this is the most famous band from Iceland i should know i from iceland so theyre great but the thing is much of Icelandder dont think that Sigur Rós are any good they say that theyre just moaning :( but i love this band and this was one hell of a show (the biggest gig that has bin held here)

lots of rosin and plenty of reverb, that is how you're supposed to get the ideal sound from the bow on the guitar.
