One of the most underrated horror movies of the last 20 years. And I'm amazed at how everything seems like it was shot on location, in real buildings and real outdoor locations. Almost nothing looks like a sound stage to my admittedly untrained eye, and there's almost no green screens being used. A Marvel movie this was NOT.
Before I had no idea that the armless/faceless monster near the scrapyard on the road was played by an actual person. Just the way it was moving, I thought that it had to be a special effect. Ofcourse apart from the acid spitting, I thought the monster was artificially created. It made it even creepier knowing it was a person, who couldn't see a thing, and needed directions on where to go xD
People rip it apart too easily. They’re so concerned with its alignment to the games. I loved this movie, even though I’m a gamer - I never even tried to look at it as an appendage of the game timeline and if it’s canon. It was fantastic on its own :)
@@ParadigmShifted This movie is what introduced me to the first 4 games (by Team Silent). If the first movie caused me nightmares for a few days back in 2006, then i could *hardly* sleep at all playing the games afterwards.
One of those movies that left great impact on me (*SPOILER* including my boundless contempt for witch hunters and those who participated in witch trials), I still can't belive that it has so little attention from public. Not only it is a very decent horror by itself, but it is one of the few good movie interpretations of video game
I love stuff like this i love the behind the scenes on movies or video games when i watch the movie i was like wow this is really nice its not bad but i like it im new to silent hill series so this movies music was something else i wish we can made movies like these again
Great video showing the making of. Love this movie. Well done. Liked how you showed the making of with the “beautiful” killer nurses scene. Plus pyramid head. Some great monsters in this. Imaginative.
@JordansGamingChannel I only watch Silent Hill: Revelation because of Heather actress, Adelaide Clemens, who tried her best to deliver her performance, which i personally like, in otherwise badly written script; which is shame that she's the _only_ saving grace in the terrible movie which is an awful sequel to the underratedly better first film.
@JordansGamingChannel Yes, i torture myself to watch the sequel just for Miss Clemens, she *tried* . Shame on the director and the studios. What a disappointing sequel with too many retcons and continuity errors that contradict the first film. Edit: Which becomes more sad that the upcoming 3rd titled "Return to Silent Hill" by Christophe Gans (director of first movie) will be a 'soft reboot that (maybe..) *retconned* the events of Revelation nonexistent.
@@mohamadafifazizizaidi5625 Well, if it will retcon the terrible second movie and will have the qualities of the first one (Christophe Gans directing it), that's not that sad. All fans of the first movie can pretend the second one was just an ugly nightmare xD
wow beautiful movie 🎬 good actor's 👍 , i remember when i saw this movie in the first time i shocked wow omg ! because this story was just on the games and books she first time came in playstation 1 and she was very scary not like the movie in 2006
I remember first hearing this was in production and learning Cristophe Gans was directing it and I about lost my shit. I had only recently at that point seen Brotherhood of the Wolf and was hooked on his directorial style.
They used pyrotechnics to simulate her pyrokinesis ability. When he removes the plate, it looks like she conjures fire as the appearing light from the flame makes it look like the place is set ablaze.
I love Silent Hill with all my being, and some of the stills from this film are just fantastic… but man the movie’s boring. I fell asleep every single time I tried to rewatch it.
