I'm 23 years old and listening to this hymn again reminds me of my homeland and my childhood connected to my Catholic parish in Vietnam. Now I'm in Japan, I'm very lonely here. Hymns are a joy that comfort me when I'm sad and also strengthen my Catholic faith ♥️
My neighbors are Catholics they are from Vietnam, every year they make a beautiful Christmas nativity scene They are a very good neighbors and I am Catholic too, I love my faith. Merry Christmas to all of you ❤
Believe me, there is no loneliness if you live a life close to God. Everything in our lives is transitory, comes and goes, but our Lord is with us forever even at the moment of death. Keep God in your spirit every moment of your day and enjoy this endless journey of existence. Remember that our homeland is were God is. You'll see that you can't feel alone with God in mind.
I wish you the best. I am not Catholic, but I am Christian. We are on different sides of the world, but we are all Family through Christ. I hope today is a little brighter for you.
Just remember that even though we may give up on God......God will never give up on you. Find your way back. There is nothing but love for you in the holy spirit. Seek and yee shall find
I am Episcopalian. Raised in an Episcopal Church School (Oregon Episcopal School from kindergarten through high school graduation). My birthday is Christmas Eve (1956). My maternal grandfather (who died 4 years before I was born) knew how to play one song on the piano. Silent Night. (My maternal grandparents were both from Austria. The country where Silent Night was written.) For my mother (who had adored her father), I (an accomplished piano player since the age of 6) would always play Silent Night for her on Christmas Eve. Until her death in 1992. Now it seems that whatever Episcopal Church I happen to be in on Christmas Eve in whatever city I happen to be in, always at the strike of midnight the lights are dimmed, the candles are lit and the congregation (whether a few hundred or a few thousand) softly sing Silent Night. I no longer cry much about things but midnight on Christmas Eve I can never make it through Silent Night.
A most beautiful song. Silent night takes us back to that lovely night when Mary held her glorious baby JESUS CHRIST in her arms while the host of angels gave glory to God. What a beautiful night indeed!
My father pass away in 2002 singing this song with his family around him saying our goodbyes..I'm the only daughter and and 7 brothers. Now I take care of my she 93year.p I'm so blessed to still have her thanks to God the father
Please accept Yeshua our Savior as your Redeemer. He loves you so much. He died for you. We all deserve death but He conquered that through the shedding of His blood. There is a reason you feel the way you do. Its because you were created in His image. You are His all you need is to accept Him. Repent and turn away from Sin [wickedness/breaking the 10 commandments]. Sin destroys us. No one ever felt great after lying, stealing, killing, etc. We are living in the times of the end and I don't want you to end up in Hell where all wicked ppl will go. Satan is s lier and deceiver He wants you to believe there are other gods. But the reality is there is only Almighty Creator Yahweh and whatever else religions out there are worshipping demons fallen angels. Please do some research regarding these matter it is important for your eternal destination. Ask the Holy Spirot to reveal truth to you. Read the Bible. Read Revelation the last book of the Bible. May Yahweh give you wisdom and tug at your heart for truth.
@@xandrorI dont care what you say, Im a member of this church and I love Jesus with my everythinga nd it has finaly made my life feel genuine and is the only thing allowing me to be hapoy while demons bully me
I consider the lyrics and the musical arrangement of this hymn as one of the most soothing melodies that could ever have been composed. God bless the composer and the singers who comprise the Mormon Tabernacle choir which I consider as one of the best choirs in existence
The world is in total chaos. It's so comforting to put myself aside & just sink into this lyrics. People need this tune & music to shift themselves from chaos to total peace. Lord, l love you. I am wait -ing 4ever waiting 4 your return.
I gave my wife an engagement ring and asked her to marry me on the second verse of this song Christmas Eve, 1986 at our church service. We will celebrate our 34th engagement anniversary this week. I love this song!
Would LOVE to be THERE and just listen to this choir that has been part of my life since a very young age. My Dad had a LP when I was a child, and now I am 62 and I love it more every time I listen.
Thank you too our Mormon friends for these beautiful songs in a most beautiful church. I am not a Mormon...yet I have given my life to God in Jesus name ..although I struggle with this world ....I know that there's a heaven with God on his throne with Jesus on his right beside

Silent night, holy night All is calm, all is bright Round yon Virgin Mother and Child Holy Infant so tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace Sleep in heavenly peacе Silent night, holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight Glories stream from heaven afar Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ, the Saviour is born Christ, the Saviour is born Silent night, holy night Son of God, love's pure light Radiant beams from Thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
We are Christian. Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. The name of our church has his name in it. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Yes, this is a choir of the most beautiful voices.
Cicha noc swieta noc niech ta noc trwa w sercach ludzi calego swiata niech jeden drugiemu nie robi krzywdy nie czyni zla swiat jest piekny tylko co poniektorzy zli Boze chron nas
...And i tell everyone to think that today a baby is born and to sing altogether Silent Night. Mid song everybody is crying. They are all thinking of a small thing but they are thinking about it together. For some minuted everybody forgets their differences and problems and the tears flow freely from their eyes. And that is the most sublime feeling ever...
This is the first song sung in the 1914 Christmas Eve peace accord by all sides, the Germans first, then the British and Americans, we all lived in peace for that one night. We can do it if we try..
Perhaps, love books instead; then you’d be able to communicate precisely and clearly. Or, continue praying to psychosis and see how far that gets you in this world.
One of my FAVORITE Christmas song! My heart ache of JOY for Jesus Christ our LORD and Savior! Cannot wait to meet Him and my relatives up in Heaven! Amen.
We are now in May and we are closed at home because of the quarantine but listening to this music brings me back to last Christmas, when we could all be together under the tree to celebrate. With all my heart I hope that again this year we could meet again in the joy of Christmas despite the fact that we are separated now.
It stirs the heart and lifts the soul to realms unknown. It soars above race creed and hate as if it makes heaven it's own. To know true peace of the soul is to open the doors of love and accept the waters of harmony to flow. Silent night Holy night sets my heart aglow.
I wept as I listened to this beautiful rendition; one of the best I've heard. I admire those participants who sound like angels from heaven. Absolutely wonderful!
I love to sing, and I like to believe that I was singing with the heavenly hosts! Glory to God, and on Earth, Peace. I definitely think we were watching!
wonderful choir this is the song x excellence of Christmas written by Grüber right on the Holy night was performed with so much sweetness that tears fell
This is the best, Austria ever created, there were a teacher and a priest in a real small town in Austria near Salzburg, who composed this lovely melody. It was in 1818 !
My maternal grandparents were both natives of Austria. My mother (who was born in New York) would always cry at midnight of Christmas Eve when our Episcopal Church would sing Silent Night. It had been the only thing that her father could play on the piano. Which he did every Christmas Eve until his death in 1952. 4 years later, I would be born on Christmas Eve. 7 years later (having taught myself how to play the piano starting at age 6) I would play Silent Night. Specifically for her. (Fortunately, I learned how to play other things on the piano. (lol))
А мне больше нравится как эту песню исполняют чудо-дети с ангельскими голосами из группы ЛИБЕРА Лондонского хора прихода св. Филипа! Это невероятное исполнение! Взрослое пение так не воспринимается.
I can’t say this touches my heart sung by the Tabernacle Choir. What does touch my heart is when I hear it sung in a movie or documentary about the Christmas Truce in WWI. It also brings sadness for their situation too.
I sang this to my new born baby who was hospitalized for a week right before Christmas! This song kept me going! That was 26 years ago and she was fine. It was just scary for a new mom💗
Thanks for watching! For more music from The Tabernacle Choir on Temple Square, including a free weekly program each Sunday, you can visit their channel here: ru-vid.com
All of the beautiful music takes me back to my childhood and is so soothing during this tumultuous 2020. Try Peace at home or I know my Redeamer lives.
I hear angelic voices that makes me feel the true spirit of Christmas. So solemn and holy! Praise be the Lord Jesus who was born in a manger long time ago in Bethlehem.
Happy Christmas to my family in Spain!!! My daughter in Spain!! My son in Oregon!!! Pray for him to come!!!!!!!!this year !!! And my two beautiful daughters with me!!!!
How much better this world would be in love, peace, and harmony if all of us, and each of us, would sing this holy hymn together and sing it everlastingly, border free!
Even though I don't have religion I love this some and this choir for performing this masterpiece. Whoever you believe in, be you. Listen to your heart ❤️
If one thinks they don’t believe in Jesus Christ, they don’t realize they are singing or listening to words being sung about the Birthday of Our Savior all over our world!!!🙏👌😊
My favorite thing about this song is the famous but seemingly forgotten story with it. How the Germans and British and even the French armies ended up singing it from opposite sides of the trenches in world war 1 on Christmas Eve
