Since the Orphanage is no longer around to go inside, is it possible to get a blueprint of the building? That's probably the closest a fan could get as to going in and visiting the filming set. Any ideas how to go about obtaining one or would it be too costly? Help anyone? Thanks
I found out some background on the Orphanage location Sean. In reality it wasn't really an orphanage at all, but a mormon school. The roof had collapsed after a heavy amount of snow one winter and was torn down rught after, just not sure of the exact year.
Great video. Good to see locations of low budget cult films. Can't help but think that most of the actors in this movie were blacklisted because of the bad press and Siskel & Ebert condemning this move. Alot of them were not full time actors I noticed by checking their IMDB filmographies. One notable actor in this movie is Will Hare (Grandpa) he played Peabody in Back To The Future. He actually dided of a heart attack doing a rehearsal at the actor's studio in New York.

It’s sad that the building used as the orphanage no longer exists. Will you do a video on the locations from the new footage from part 2? If you look at the signage on the toy store is indeed the same. The brackets on the base are identical from the one out over the door in the film.
You'll have to check with the local municipality records or ask an old local. Could have been vacant property waiting for a new tenant, so they just temporarily leased it to the production.

A classic for sure, but I'm surprised there was really enough to find to warrant a HHG. Love the movie, but cinematography wise it just seems to have some nice mountains but very little in the way of iconic buildings or much of anything that stands out, aside the orphanage. Maybe Blumhouse can remake this movie. ha ha I kid, I kid. Cool video though, appreciate the effort.
