If you would have followed the rules of the drinking game, you would have died of alcohol poisoning. The reason the storefront window was painted was because this movie was filmed in the spring and it hid the fact that it wasn’t winter outside. Great reaction. ❤❤

"Did they have Xanax in the 80's?" GIRL they had QUALUUDES in the 80's, it was good times, I'm super sad that I was a kid in the 80's and that by the time I reached my recreational-drug-taking-years, they'd pretty much disappeared everywhere but South Africa (true story, apparently there is a real problem with qualuudes there and that's like the only place in the world that they are still being manufactured at all). Watching this movie is my family's Christmas tradition (as is me pointing at everything in the toy store and yelling some variation on, "I had that!")- but the time is always right to watch Billy act out his trauma.

This is a classic, but SNDN part 2 is my fave all because the killer is ridiculously unhinged. That and "garbage day". I'm glad y'all didn't follow the drinking rules to the letter because y'all would have been pretty messed up.

I agree it's almost like people that make rules. For those games almost want to give people alcohol poisoning on purpose. I seen someone make Happy Death Day into a drinking game. Where you take a shoot every time time resets let's just say he regretted it really quickly. He was barely able to sit straight up by the end of the movie.

Fun Fact: SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT not only came out the same year as ANOES but he opened the same weekend as ANOES did and actually made more money opening weekend. However it was quickly pulled from the theaters do to outrage over the killer Santa.

You mean taking a child who seen Santa Claus kill his parents. Then trying to beat him into liking Santa Claus does not work. It basically just makes him into a ticking time bomb. Who would of thought that would happen now let's bring up this was the same method used on every other child including his brother. It worked on Billy so I am sure his brother will be just fine. I also want to add do drinking games where time resets at your own risk. Like for example movies like Happy Death Day an Groundhog's Day.

This movie was highly controversial at the time of its release and was banned in numerous countries...including the U.S. for a while. I remember seeing this on VHS when I was a kid in mid/late 80s and it was super hard to get at the time.

The 2012 film is actually loosely based on the 2008 Covina Massacre Covina massacre was a mass murder carried out on Christmas Eve by a disgruntled ex-husband in Los Angeles, California, United States in 2008. Bruce Jeffrey Pardo, who was wearing a Santa costume, entered a property belonging to his former in-laws in the City of Covina and killed nine people either by shooting or arson from the fire he started. Three people, including Pardo's ex-wife and his former in-laws, were declared missing pending identification of their bodies.[1] The 45-year-old killed himself from a self-inflicted gunshot to the head at his brother's residence in the early hours of Christmas Day
