Are you experiencing cut issues when using the Silhouette Cut by Line Color or Cut by Fill Color option? Are the cut settings not adjusting to what you changed them to?
In today's quick video, I am sharing something we are seeing more and more of when troubleshooting with users. When troubleshooting with a user, we ask for photos of their setup. This is one of the only ways to really know what they are experiencing and to see what they see. In this case, it is one of the only ways to identify this particular issue. Photos are so important to help identify any issue you are experiencing and help us help you faster!

I have mine set to cut on a line like your red circle. But when it cuts it offsets from middle of page to lower right. So only about half the pages cut correctly. I have tried bigger markers. I have done the calibration and its correct. I heard it might be a lighting issue for the sensor. Any ideas?

Try a test with all the default registration marks. Hold the mat completely level. Use a Silhouette cutting mat and try a test print and cut. Technically, the machine doesn't need any lighting and this can be performed with the lid closed as it creates it's own light. Bright lights can interfere with the optical eye reading properly.

My problem with cut by line is that it pauses everytime it goes from one color (kiss cut) to the next one (full through cut). Do you know how to override this and cut both consecutively without pausing? Thanks in advance!

Yes, that is a bug in the v4.5 software. I'd recommend uninstalling and going back to v4.4.554 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C_1tKu9gg9I.html Or if feeling adventurous you can test the new version just released this week. But I'm not recommending v4.5 for most users.

⁠I tried that and when I got to print it is just outlined. What am I doing wrong? It shows filled in even on print preview.

Print through a printer correct? It should print through the printer exactly as you see it on the screen. If it's just a cut line, it won't print that line. If it's filled with color it will print on a printer.....

@Colorealm hopefully this makes sense... it is what I posted on my group .... MAC users HEADS UP! Multiple MAC issues - please read completely for further information MAC Sonoma OS Issues Sonoma OS was released on 9/26/23 - at the time that it was released, Silhouette Studio had no known issues and had been tested with it. We had several users who updates & all was going smooth until the past week or so.... Now we've seen an increase of issues posted by MAC users who have updated to Sonoma..... it may be related to one of the recent updates on October 25th to the macOS 14.1 ... we have tried to gather data on this and it has been reported to Silhouette. They are working on it. This may be why we are not seeing it affect all MAC users or all MAC Sonoma users. That is the hardest part of figuring out what the issue might be, is if it only affects certain users, it is harder to pinpoint. Our recommendations are as follows: If you have the option to not update to Sonoma, it may be best to wait. If you have updated to Sonoma and have no issues but are prompted to update to macOS14.1, you may want to hold off. If you are a MAC Sonoma user and you are experiencing black or red lines, reverting the software to v4.4.554 is fixing this issue for most users. For best results, we recommend uninstalling the software, delete it from the recycle bin, and then reinstall v4.4.554 - found here - www.silhouetteamerica.com/software/ss If the above does not work, try a full computer shut down and then reinstall v4.4.554. Note: this is not in Silhouettes (or any other software companies) control. Every single time Apple releases an update they are surprises and software companies are left to scramble and figure out what secrets they released, how they affect a software program, how to fix that, and then test it before it can be released to the public. It takes time - there is NOTHING we can do about it. It is frustrating but it is NOT Silhouette's fault. I can also say that it's not limited to Silhouette software that it affects. I work with the Siser Leonardo Design Studio software too and there have been issues since Sonoma OS was released in September with compatibility. Software companies are working as fast as they can and often, they are waiting for other companies that we don't even know affect it to find fixes, implement the fixes, and release updates. Please refer users to this post if you see someone with these issues.
