The quirky dialogue, either by accident, or via bad translation, is part of what makes this classic a new cult gem for the next generation. This on top of blatant political incorrectness and indifference to human life makes it so unique to watch today. Too bad the movie version was such a flop, and could not, or did not want capture any of the org charm/weirdness that we still enjoy today. I mean where do you hear a narrator say things like " this secrete film, filmed secretly" or screams of abrupt horror as in " hes going over the cliff".... AHHHHHHAH !! - all with up lifting music in the background, or Speed telling Trixie " this is no time to act like a girl"......but at the same time made her a capable brave character, helping speed, & flying a helicopter ect , w/o going out of its way to support an agenda and alter the viewers experience, as in a recent star wars films.

Now I know why Speed kills them.
