Oh believe me if it was my truck I would have, and I wanted to. But it was my buddies truck and he said he was having transmission issues so he didn't want to hotrod it until he get's that fixed. That's my luck...

You think or you know? Make sure you hooked everything back up correctly. If there is a check engine light on, fix whatever that is. If you didn't reset the battery like I said to in the video, do that. He keeps spinning the tires on his on accident because it has so much more takoff power than before. If yours got slower, then there is something else causing it.

Shouldnt have posted this cideo without second video. This is the biggest let down that We all see too often. Theres never the full video with everything included. Im going to change that.

Check engine light possible but unlikely- shouldn't cause it. ABS no, not at all. Sounds like you have other things going on with it...

That would work it would need some tiny one and probably red threadlockee because tearing the head off is annoying trust me

Where? On the throttle body itself? You can't bypass the maf sensor or it won't run right.

It's just part of the air intake system/ductwork. If you're speaking of the chunky rear most part off to the left side of the screen at exactly 6:48, it is a silencer/resonator/resonance chamber.

@@BuckeyeBallistics sorry, it's at 6:46 the tube/hose . on my truck it connects to the air intake and the top of engine/manifold.

All it's fluids are changed lol. It get's regular oil changes and we just changed the trans fluid when we replaced it's filter. And you're talking to the guy that suped up his 1.6 Kia Rio so the 4.3 definately isn't off the table for me. That being said, this intake was a gift from me to my buddy (his truck), so he didn't "waste" any of his money. And lastly, typically a better intake or exhaust will improve fuel mileage slightly, so that's hardly a waste if it's going to *save* you money. And just like with my Rio, I know it's never going to be a fast car- but if I can make it just a little better and improve mileage (which I did), it's worth it 100% to me...

@James - Oh it should tow an atv just fine. I threw one in the back of this exact truck and drove 2 states away with it and back (riding). According to an online copy of the owner's manual, for bumper pull towing, the 2004 Silverado Regular Cab Long Bed with the 4.3L engine can tow 4400 lbs with the automatic transmission and 3.08 rear axle or 4900 lbs with the 3.42 axle. For a manual transmission, its 3400 lbs with the 3.08 rear end or 3900 lbs with the 3.42. Given the age/mileage of the truck and not knowing the exact year and axle ratio, I would say round it down to 3000lbs and you should be just fine assuming it is in decent shape.

actually plastic CAI is a little better than aluminum piping bc the aluminum gets hot and that defeats the purpose of a COLD air intake. The only time a study pipe is beneficial is when ur pushing 25psi of boost and your piping is starting to flex.
