Bruh, they played in Toronto on the Friday night that started March break that year, and I got a black eye in the pit. By the time I was going back to school a little over a week later, I still had intense purples and greens going on with eye bruising. All that aside, the show was adequate.
They really are sooo underrated......and Shane's voice is literally the same live or on record....its so nice to hear a musician that doesn't need any extra help from computers,...it's such a let down when u hear a singer live and I sounds terrible.... .Shane's voice is AWESOME.... Probably my all the favorite band EVER....
I remember back when I was 12, they asked us to say what our favorite song was in front of the class and I said this. They didn't know what I was talking about. Such a gem
i remember seeing this video on mtv back when it first came out. first song i heard of silverstein, i instantly became obsessed with them, they are still one of my favorite bands
Same I heard this song back in 2008 on a radio station couldn't remember it for the life of me till I heard it on Pandora 2 days ago and was like damn that's the song. These guys are fucking amazing 🤘
One of the very few bands that I discovered in highschool in 2003. Still like them to this day. It's rare for a band to be so consistent yet always find a way to refresh their sound without compromise. This is coming from a guy that likes very heavy metal. I totally respect these guys
1, 2, 3, 4 I hear you choking on your words again The secrets in your throat And I really wish you'd say What you're thinking We've been down this road So many times before My stomach can not take it I've been killing time You've been crossing lines You say Get ready, get ready, get ready for this I'm taking out my dagger Just say it, just say it, just say it for me I'm holding it up to your throat are you ready, are you ready, are you ready for this you don't wanna hear it just say it, just say it, just say it again It will tear your soul apart again I'm leaving you out in the cold again I'll let you freeze to death I wont let you see the flames Just the chimney Where there's smoke there's fire But I'm such a good liar You cant read the signals And my lips are sealed Saying words that deal Your shame Get ready, get ready, get ready for this I'm taking out my dagger Just say it, just say it, just say it for me I'm holding it up to your throat are you ready, are you ready, are you ready for this you don't wanna hear it just say it, just say it, just say it again It will tear your soul apart again Stick to your guns You've been betting it all on a long shot 16 ways You gotta call a spade a spade There is no ace up your sleeve How can you believe you will win Get ready, get ready, get ready for this I'm taking out my dagger Just say it, just say it, just say it for me I'm holding it up to your throat are you ready, are you ready, are you ready for this you don't wanna hear it just say it, just say it, just say it again It will tear your soul apart again It will tear your soul apart I will tear your soul apart It will tear your soul apart Tear your soul apart again
Silverstein is not just my favorite band still after some time, they’re also my Emo legends (yours too, haha)! After decades of their career, they’ve managed and still are managing to put out such amazing albums & songs. You don’t have to love every album & song by them, but you have to admit that everything by them is so fucking amazing. You have to have some variety in albums & songs, otherwise it would be so boring listening to any band. I really hope that vast majority of Silverstein’s fans agree with me on 100%. If you don’t, I pity you. Silverstein is one of the few bands, if not the only band, which has stayed so fresh after all these decades. And in my personal opinion they have even managed to become better than before. Not every band has at least stayed the same. Some bands don’t even exist anymore and still haven’t come back yet. This is why Silverstein is still my favorite band after some time now. Can’t wait to hear more new songs & albums by them, to keep going to their concerts, to see them during VIP times, to buy new albums by them, etc.
this is the first song of theirs I ever heard. I couldn't sleep one night before school so I was channel surfing. around 6am I turn on music videos on vh1 (yes I'm that old) and this song comes on so I gave it a shot. hooked ever since
Everybody says how they hate that Silverstein is under rated but I disagree. Thanks to that I've got to see them in some tiny venues upclose and personal. You never get that with a huge artist
These guys are fucking great! Heard them years ago when I'm was young and am still listening to them. This type of music seems to be fading as the new mumble bullshit raps hits the radio. What happened to music?
weelll, true PTV did "steal" the idea of a heist for the music video, they did make it their own by adding the story of the corrupt banker dude and his swiss bank account. It was more of a robin hood style stealing from the corrupt rich, whereas this video is more of a generic heist. I still agree with Julian though, ptv is nowhere near as good as silverstein, but ehh, ptv is still okay
I've heard that this album was not popular among Silverstein fans when it was released. I have to say I honestly don't know why. This song all by itself was the reason I got into them over 10 years ago in 8th grade!!!
I remember seeing the video first and being like.. wait is this Silverstein? Only heard smile in your sleep and loved the picking of the guitar players
°Hi! My name’s Angie and my dream is to be singer, I know there’re a lot of people like me, but could you please give me a chance to watch my video of me singing on my channel? Thank you°
I can’t believe this is almost 15yrs old🤔 smh I’m getting old fast.. I out played the shit outta this album whippin around in my little 98 mazda protege lol
