I started watching the Pod back at the start of grade 8. I’m now half way through my second year of university. This was truly the best trip down memory lane.
I started in 2015 when I was in my third year of uni. Did two more years of uni after that, moved to three different continents, worked for three years, and I still haven't missed an episode! The SDP has been with me for a long time!

I started watching LFR when Steve was counting down the Leaf season in 10 game increments before the season resumed, from there I branched into SDPN podcast, haven't missed an episode since. I remember going to an Angels Blue Jays game in Anaheim and talking to a Jays fan about how great Freddy will be for the Leafs a couple days after he was traded from Anaheim. That’s around how long I’ve been listening to this podcast. I started right before matthews was drafted. It has been a good ride boys
I accidentally found Hat-Picks in 2018 and thought it was fun. Then there was Dang-its...Then I found LFR...somewhere during the pandemic I found the podcast...I've never looked back and enjoyed every moment
When Steve mentioned someone on HF breaking news about a Leaf signing I thought it was going to be about me. Back when I was a Leafs writer for the HF I got tipped off that Jyrki Lumme was joining the Leafs. I got roasted in the Leaf forum with demands to name my source until it was announced a day or 2 later.
Ooh!! I miss Smart Insider Man. I know Steve tries his best to be passionate about our beautiful game, but, SIM just tops out. If everyone that follows the game shows the same passion that Smart Insider Man did the world would be a better place. Great show guys Happy Holidays 👍👍👍
To solve your battery issue, use "dummy batteries". One side goes into your camera like normal and the other side plugs into a outlet. This gets around the 30min limit. RU-vid has a lot of info on "hacking" the record limits.

Jesse. I use multiple dslr cameras for live streaming. You can get a dummy battery from Amazon for like 30 bucks cad and then just feed the dslr capture into obs and record for a month straight if you want to. For the money, this is a much better idea than worrying about 30 minute segments.
does anyone know what Christmas one of the guys got Adam a Canadiens water bottle? I think that was one of the first pods I had listened to, because I didn't know if maybe Adam was a habs fan... 🤣🤣 I had been watching Steve for a bit longer and then checked out the pod, but I know I've been listening for (at least) around three years.
The Gretzky record that Matthew's broke and the Orr record that Reilly broke are essentially the exact same records... If one isnt a big deal then the other shouldn't be either. The truth is that both are incredibly specific records that are not really anything to be praising someone for. Basically the only reason these records are even being tracked is because Gretzky started breaking so many records that they needed to start keeping track of all these random stats like points in the first 5 games. Until one of them starts breaking 10 records a season like gretzky was in his prime we can ignore any semblance of comparison.
Steve does repeat stuff all the time lol. The things he points out or discusses in the LFR always get repeated in the next podcast. Also I think he used to work at the zoo 😂

It's a great podcast...only negative I have is adam unfortunately always finds steve funny even when it's not...particularly the rants....I dont want steve channel because I csnt deal with the fake rant
