Curious, what did you dislike about the r9? I’ve been looking to upgrade to DD and the r9+CS+srp is at the top of my list coming in under $1k for the whole setup. I’ve only ever heard mostly positive reviews so I’m curious why you disliked if

@@Andrew24IV I didn’t really dislike anything about the R9, it was fine. It was my first DD and I expected to be blown away a bit more perhaps? The smoothness was great and the detail was a step up from my CSL Elite. However, the first lap with the simagic alpha mini was more like ‘what I was expecting’ when I went to DD. So much detail and feel through the wheel. This sorta stuff is surely just software / firmware related and i don’t know where Moza are at with theirs now, but they seemed pretty active in developing improvements.

@@skxdlxx2479 Thanks for clarifying. Based on other reviews it does seem like the r9 requires a good amount of tweaking in the software to make it feel how it should. I’ll have to look a little closer at simagic as an option now, though

@@Andrew24IV the only thing are the high temperatures ! I never felt any problem of taking off power and I tray that for 9 full weeks but I’ve read two comments till now from people who felt just little lack of power after hour or two in hard drive ! Other then that , I love this thing for that price!

I took RBM advice recently after much too & throwing & decided on the SC 2 pro I went from the DD1 - I can honestly say if you can afford the SC 2 pro get it - no thing matches it both on build quality & the perfect feedback from the unit itself - the sofware is also easy to use & they are many available presets you can download which have been created by other users. Good luck in your choice buddy

SC2 pro is the most save choice on the market! I’m really happy with the Alpha U and I think I will migrate to Simagic system as the Alpha U have some small advantages in iRacing for example and I really what to see how it goes in the future!

Honestly simxperience best software, but simucube is catching them with their software. I have a simxperience but would now go to simucube

Thx for the kind words Dom 🤛 Honestly, the FX wheels are perfect for my personal like in any road GT or TC cars in that size particularly with that shape which keeps open view and I can clearly see the dash of the car ! The GTC and the GT hub are also great but fits wheels only above 320mm diameter and the GTC having those extra rotaries is hard to replace the wheel with something else! I haven’t had chance to test any of the alcantara wheels from Simagic and can’t comment on that at all but if you take the GT hub you can fit any flat wheel above 320mm you just have to check what’s available out there ! The GTS is also great for rally in that size and I’m working on video for that wheel but I have the leather version which is not my favorite material for grips! It’s hard choice buddy 🙈

Your feedback confirms my idea about this wheel! FYI the rotaries of the GTC can be removed. So you can fit any other wheel to the hub. My idea was to use the 325mm cut-off wheel and remove the screws for a change to the round wheel but probably I get lazy and need a third wheel (GTS?) 🙈😁. I will probably go for the GT HUB to make most out of the BF deals and decide later what to put on top. Can’t wait to see your feedback and video for the GTS wheel 🙌. Thank you!!!🍻

@@Jose-pq4bc I personally prefer 30cm for rally as it feels faster to correct big slides but in general, bigger wheels help for bit more smooth inputs! It is very personal subject I guess 🤛

@@ArchOfficial Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. Does look like that is the best all rounder. I like the fact that the Moza ES wheel can have GT, fully round 12" and round flat bottom 11" options with a decent amount of buttons on the same hub. In UK there is also about £250-£300 difference in price, which goes a long way to a better quality set of pedals such as Simforge. From the information I have gathered, it seems pedals are the most important.

@@leesargent65 Depends what you're doing. For drifting, wheelbase. Otherwise you can make do with not an amazing wheelbase and get more benefit from better pedals allegedly.

I use speed at 100 Smoothness 1 for iRacing and 5 for the rest Damping zero Friction 10% Interpolation 100% That can feel bit soft in the middle out it load great at cornering and I can personally feel well what’s going on with the grip

As bases they are both absolutely awesome! Your choice must be which ecosystem you want to join! Check which wheels you like more and pull the trigger!

@@chepilevski The steering wheels do not matter much, I have 7 steering wheels with r9 and none is Moza, with Simagic you can also put any steering wheel (except original Fanatec) It is the best of these bases, the flexibility is enormous...

Ah Brian, that will be hard choice man ! Having experience with all three , from driving experience I can’t put any of those on top on another 🙈 In iRacing the Simagic Alpha U is bit smoother then the my SC2 and can get more FFB without clipping which I really can’t understand how is even possible 😮 In ACC they feel the same and both need some extra filters to feel smooth! Simucube2 is on top of my list for so many years and now they have very serious competition! I honestly can’t help you in that decision but one thing I know for sure, whatever you choose from those three models you have in mind you will have a blast 😁

@@LuFtPuMpE_315 the FFB difference between those two in my opinion with the settings I use for the feeling I want to get, Simucube have like 10% more refined feedback but that’s noticeable only if I pay lots of attention and test them side by side! I run the Simagic ultimate on my main rig because the quick release system is more convenient then that small ffb difference 🤛

The 290mm FX pro is just perfect for me in GT cars ! The Hub goes 325mm and is bit too much for me but that’s personal taste buddy!

Hi Jul 🤛 Try to play with the smoothness filter and go low as possible, also play with the interpolation filter! Maybe you added too much of those filters in that sim and start loosing the small effect!

I’ve tested both and they are both great choice buddy! You call must be more about personal esthetic preference and you won’t go wrong with each choice from experience point of view !

@@xvooodooo808 thx for the support buddy 😃 The alpha mini is 10nm base bay the way ! I have heard is 12-13 nm motion downscale to 10 but I can’t confirm that as I haven’t ever seen any scientific test 😁

The RS2 is 330mm and Hub Pro will be your choice if you don’t get the GTC which is the same but completed wheel in 325mm which is base the same thing ! The Simagic are better wheels by the way with more inputs and better design and telemetry extras as well ! The base are both great ! I will release video today for the RS v2 and you may check it later !

Just hard to make a decision as it's not something regular folk like me can just go test out...we rely heavily on reviews from people like you. That is not the problem as the BMW footages are with 300mm cut wheel ! The problem is if the middle part of the wheel is too think and the soft part or the wheel touch the face of the plate ! There must be model which will fit but I have to do research!

@@donomar789 I don’t have that wheel but I know it well and it won’t fit without modifications! You must put 10mm space between the box and the wheel and the 7 way funky switches way touch and you won’t be able to use the push inside (left on the right and right on the left knobs)

Check the Simagic website and look for the official dealers for your county buddy! That’s the best way !

The shifter on its own is not synchronized but if used with the new hub controller which is connected directly to the Simagic base it gets synchronized with the game ! There is new firmware combined with that hub connects all the Simagic peripherals into single usb but must be connected to Simagic Base ! I’m not sure if they can or plan to make that standalone unit!

Honestly 285mm works just like 300mm maybe just little snappier but is not huge difference! For GT1 GTE GT3 is actually very good as those cars are with lost of downforce and not much to play with suspensions ! GT4 is another story and 300mm can be just little better but again, not much difference!

The GT hub doesn’t have those buttons in the middle, there are just 2 holes! I’m not sure if the other one with those buttons is possible to be removed as I believe they must be soldered to the PSB

They are still new on the market and growing slowly and seeing there evolution in the last year I feel they are doing great 👍

After owning the wheelbase can confirm it is below average & I now understand why they only offer a year warranty. Such a disappointment. It was good when it worked... but that was less often than it didn't. So many bizzare issues. I'll be holding out for simucube Black Friday deals in the interim.

@@S2GUnit Returned it, was a lemon. Night & day. From setup to software to daily use.. Definitely a much better way to spend that kind of money. Looking back at it after seeing how easy it was with the simucube it made simagic look even worse after the hours on hours of attempted fixes before throwing in the towel

@aoFeliX I don't have a simagic base but I have simagic P2000 hydraulic pedals and the simucube 2 pro and I'd go simucube 2 pro all day because of the CS. I had a faulty QR they not only gave me a new one but threw in a spare wheel side for free but I had a loadcell fail on my Simagic pedals and waiting a month for a replacement when simucube took 7 days to get it sorted shipped and in my hands from somewhere in the EU to me in the UK

To be hones , at this point and time the Alpha U in iRacing and ACC is equal and at some cases even better and with those new wheels in Simagic line the Alpha U may become better choice! I personally think to migrate to Simagic ecosystem and see how it goes !

@@JoseFcoBN that makes no sense. I have many items from all around the world. Also I'm pointing out they don't give partners spare parts or not enough to cover any Warranty or repair claims. I've had so much trouble with my Simagic pedals BUT I still love them. First set needed replacing due too the clutch bearing failing then the next set the clutch wasn't sitting straight and caused the bearing to dig into the metal wearing it away making it feel and sound horrible so it was replaced then the brake pedals started leaking that was replaced then the dampener on the throttle started to stick which was again replaced then the new dampener started to Leak some sort of oil and it went onto the loadcell causing it to fail then I got to where I mentiomed in my original comment which was waiting over a month of promise after promise after promise the new dampener and loadcell would be here within a week as they send parts/more stock express shipping. So I'm very well experienced in Simagics CS. On one hand it took way to long to get the last issue solved but then on the other hand they did fix and replace everything without Question but u don't know if that's because of Simagic or Abruzzi/Ben (UK) has such good CS him self and he was the reseller.

@@Simlife101 It would make sense if the connection with Simagic was direct, with people in between everything gets worse... I just wanted to tell you that distance is a handicap, and even more so in these moments of uncertainty.
