I found the tips that calms this savage beast... No other foams I tried worked and I tried 30 tips on this damn thing.. this tip is the is the foam Comply 500 Series Foam Original Ear Tips for KZ ZS10 Pro
I also like those Comply 500s. I actually really like the EA500 stock with the standard red ring nozzle so I really didn't need a fix for myself. I just seen some recommendations for buying special foams and screens so I decided to try to use stuff most of us have lying around to see what changes I could make without spending money. I have used those Comply 500s on the Kailua though. It does wonders for that too. I just wish I could get them to stay sealed when I move. Thanks for the comment and watching. @@mrcrunch8000 some tracks this thing sounds next level good.. others a shouty mess. I dont know really what to make of this IEM.. I think im going to pick up the OH10 and Kiwi Ears Quintet next... I so live this thing on 40% of my favorite songs.. It kicks in with a tremendous sound stage and just smashes.. but then those others.................
@ufopulse try playing with foam in the nozzle. It really does change a lot. Way more than just tips and much more controllable. I'm sure one of the boxes you have from your iems has a porous foam in it. It's that 2-6k region that was softened with how I did it in the video. I can't remember the name of the guy who made the video that gave me the idea but he used real tuning foam that he purchased. He shows graphs from his trials and it showed a big difference in that region. He seemed to have a similar feeling to stock like as you. Personally I enjoy it stock with the red rung nozzle but saying that I still have the foam in the nozzle. What music is it that gives you trouble? I ask just so I can have more ideas for testing. I try to test all genre but that doesn't help me find the problematic tracks.
@@mrcrunch8000 none of my iem's came with the exact poros foam that you used in the vid.. but I might shove a couple cheetos in them and give it the best

But... play the new Doja Cat track Paint the town red.. this IEM kicks in and makes some kind of unbelievable magic happen the chorus is INSANE
I do that tuning in all of my iem. For you to wish lighter tone,that means you listening to medium volume or your dap or phone, because natural tone like you said,makes nonsense to me . And why get the foam from a box when there is sponge filters from Ali that are cut to precision and both are the same size. Sorry mate, you can't cut a size that is same of the left and right channel. Makes nonsense this way. There is density filters on ali express
I listen. Lol. Just trying to help. Hard to make perfect holes with that sponge maybe if you have a belt hole maker . Lol. But yes. Many years ago i tried that. I go for less treble because if my volumes . You go for more treble from what I understood
@paulosilva8200 I appreciate it. The video is not a guide on how to specifically mod your EA500. It's a video about how easy the EA500 is to mod and encouragement to experiment with material people may have lying around to see if they can make a positive change before resorting to spending money. I did discuss all of your concerns in the video, and you would have also noticed I cut squares, not circles. I do like treble to an extent but the foam in my EA500 reduced the upper midrange and treble a bit. It resulted in a warmer, smoother overall experience. It does not do the same as the black nozzle with foam already in it.
