+Salvador Peláez 20 years ? it seems you missed it ;) ... Simon's drum kit sound has already been sampled in the past by best service, in the library Artist Drums / Artist Grooves (in this library, there is as well, Dennis Chambers, and some other nice drummers, but the library is old).

Boddy.. already had those, not that great by the way, very limited layers, I even made a hybrid of Denis and Simon kit... this one is way better... So yes, since I've been following this drummer, I wanted to have his samples... actually since 1992..

+Salvador Peláez it was not to tell that it was great or not, just to tell that one has been done in the past (didn't know if you were aware of it or not, sorry). yes, the best service was not great, but it's old, at least, the octobans was not that bad ;). i'm like you, following and fallen in love for simon since 1992. (when he replaced Jeff on the Kingdom of desire's Toto Tour). Symbiosis / Tambu played a big role as an influence on some of my tunes. i was on the way to record with simon in 2009/2010, but .... big healt issues (hearing ones) on my side and couldn't do it. i don't know at which point the steinberg one is great (can't listen to music normally anymore, only few minutes per week / month, sometime one hour at best, and that when i use that hour to make some music) and there is no trial version, so difficult to judge. i purchased the Looploft loop library for christmas (unfortunatly if i knew steinberg would release that, i would have never bought the looploft one, especially because there is No midi version of each groove like the omar hakim one). it's not great, no enough varations per song, Mixed tracks only for studio one, and more than that , no midi, so completly useless (at least for me). I'm interested by the steinberg release because of the kit and because the groove areavailable in midi so we can change the bass drum placement or any other instrument if needed to suit our tunes. did they recorded it with any Midi captor on simon's kit, or it has been "reprogrammed based on audio recording ? but i don't know at which point it's great or not. is the kit already mixed or not? by simon himself or not ? i never used groove agent, i have cubase 8 Pro, with the SE version, but don't know what i would lost with it if i purchase the steinberg library and use only the SE version because no money to by the non SE version. if you own it, any advice or comments would be welcome, thanks !
