Thank you Harry. Thank you. Harry is not wearing a baseball cap. I never thought I would see the day in all the years of Tennis Spin. There is indeed a God!!!!

1) Before you get out of bed in the morning, pull/push toes back and forth 10 times. 2) Wear oofas in the house, never bare feet. 3) Get a lacrosse ball and roll it under your foot every day. 4) New shoes often, with inserts that work for you. Asics gel resolution. 5) When playing, stay on toes, don't land on heel. Don't play flat footed.

I had a severe PF a few years ago I couldn't even walk, I tried any kind of insoles on the market with no result applied ice after tennis, I tried any kind of exercises, change several tennis shoes , my doctor gave me anti-inflammatory pills and nothing...until a treatment call Shockwave therapy to treat Plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, Achilles tendonitis and more since then PF finally was gone

I’m thinking about getting shock wave for my PF . I’m on the tour 600 atp and PF has had me out since Feb

I've had PF but not the heel spur type, the arch pain sort. A few thing I did that helped are wear shoes literally 24/7 like literally sleep in them as well (takes a bit to get used to). I think this works similar to the night splint thing but worked better for me. I also use some superfeet green insoles but I customised them to give me more arch support, I bought a adhesive moleskin pad probably 2-3 mm thick cut out a semi circle arch shape and suck it on there then covered in with some gaffer tape so it's durable. I use these all the time not just playing tennis. I found these worked better than the custom orthotics I have. YMMV but that's what helped me. Obviously do the stretching and all that as well. Heels raises and drops on a step before playing also good for warming up stretching out the calves and PF as well.

This guy covered everything. I had PF in the 1990s and went to see a podiatrist. He recommended custom orthotics but they'd take three weeks to make and the cost $200 per side so I made my own by gluing cut leather strips onto insoles. These cost me $10 for a pair and I could put one pair per shoe instead of having to move one pair of orthotics around to multiple shoes. This helped quite a bit but didn't cure the problem. I read about a solution on the Usenet group on running. Someone described a night splint but they weren't products back then. So I went to Home Depot and bought parts and made a pair of them. The night splint cured PF in one night. Nowadays you can buy night splints at drug stores like CVS. Usenet predated the public internet so it was how we did social media before the public world wide web. The cause of my PF was running and playing tennis in worn shoes. These days I track my running shoe mileage and replace after 400 miles.

@@Pinworms666 My experience talking with other people is that it works great for some people and doesn't work at all for others. PF is a very common problem. Runners, basketball players, tennis players and just people working in jobs where they have to stand all day can get it.

Adding the Sorbothane Heel Pad to my tennis shoes and slippers (bought 2 pair) fixed my plantar fasciitis and heel pain. Highly recommend it.

This is great if youre suffering from an acute case of PF. But once the inflammation subsides, the only long term solution for most people is to strengthen the intrinsic foot muscles - walking barefoot, short foot exercises, etc.
@ianbuick8946
@ianbuick8946 2 года назад
Agree! Same as TE, muscle strengthening is only long term.

Excellent and a timely topic. My PF is painful in first 10 mins of playing after which the pain goes away. I can’t run on the treadmill for more than 10 mins though! No problem with morning pain. My ASICS are new. Heading out to buy new insoles as suggested in the video

I played competitive tennis 3-4 times a week for last 25 years. And last 10 years been struggling with plantar fasciitis, pretty bad. Used all kind of shoes, inserts, tapes and braces. It was helping to play basically pain free but next day I usually couldn’t step around the house without screaming 😢 Lately I ran into healthy keto diet and intermittent fasting and started implementing it little but little. It was a game changer, plantar fasciitis just went away after a couple of weeks. Not to mention other “chronic” tennis pains: wrists, elbows, knees, shoulders etc. Get rid of all sugar, reduce carbs and have two meals a day and you’ll be golden 🙏🏼

Diet can also cause PF That extra 20 lbs is hard on the knees legs and feet. Back on 2020 I stopped eating bread for 2 weeks and my PF went away. IMO eat less carbs or go gluten free.

I don’t know if this will be addressed in this comment section, but I’ve heard many other doctors and specialists say that you should not use arch support because you want the natural movement at the foot the way it supposed to move in it and if you stop the food from moving properly. It can lead to plan our future so if you have a high arch, you should use a thin flat in Seoul with no arch support but then I prefer the other way around so it’s very confusing to me because I do have plantar fasciitis, and I tried many different things and still have a problem.

Hey Doctor Sean and Zenmaster Harry, any specific recommendations on replacement insoles for tennis sneakers, either for players suffering from PF or for anyone that just want some upgraded support and cushioning versus the standard insoles that come with the shoes?? There are SO MANY choices out on the interwebs (and even at CVS) that an expert opinion or two from you guys (and any specifics products) would be a big help. Thanks in advance!!

My plantar fasciitis was caused by an arch that was too high (Ascics Resolution 9?) After tossing that out, my next tennis shoe (Vapor Pro) was too tight & narrow which also caused pain almost similar to a high arch. Counter to what he said about “tight” shoes, I think I need the opposite.

@@amitchugh08iono bruh I wish the doctor & youtube channel guy would recommend something! But just hearing from other people and their comforts (may or may not work for us) I would try Mizuno brand or the shoes that Osaka wears which has a lot of padding and feels like a cloud.
