your explanation is so great. non arrogant and so stright forwerd. I am a designer, not engineer and i could understand every single word you said, and therefor i subscribed your channel . your studants are very lucky!!!
I have an idea for a lifting force machine. Step 1: Get hollowed out cube. Step 2: Securely attach magnet to inner bottom of hollowed out cube. Step 3: Place a lever on inside bottom of cube behind the magnet that's securely attached to inside bottom of cube so that one side of the lever is pointing towards you and hanging over the magnet. Step 4: Attach a vertical bar to the top side of the part of the lever that is not hanging over magnet witch is securely attached to inner bottom of cube. Make sure the bar goes all the way up to the inner top of the cube barley touching it. Step 5: Securely attach a magnet to the side of the lever that is hanging over the magnet that is attached to the inner bottom of cube. Note: Magnets need to be facing each other with attracting poles N,S or S,N Note: The lever is going to have to be really close to the magnet on inner bottom of cube because of how close those magnetic fields need to be to interact. But not so close that magnets can touch. The magnet on top connected to lever is pulling the magnet on inner bottom of cube towards it and since the magnet on inner bottom of cube is connected to cube, this pulling force acts as a lifting force. Now at the same time the magnet on inner bottom of cube is pulling the magnet on top downwards BUT the magnet on top is connected to the lever so any downwards pulling force is being converted mechanically by the lever into upwards lifting force. Now if you know anything about magnets you now that there are magnets powerfull enough to lift far more weight then just there own. So essentialy this divice is exploiting the powerfull pulling force of magnets by mechanicaly transforming its magnetic pulling force into mechanical lifting force through the clever utilization of a lever, and walla stuff can be made to fly. Imagine if the magnets in this experiment where electro magnets so the ammount of electrical current going into them determined the ammount of lifting force that it would have. Now imagine this system being used as an attachment that could be placed under or ontop of vehicles to counter the weight of the vehicle and any cargo its carying. Now imagine if this was done with powerfull permanent magnets and turned sideways and placed in an electric generator and had enough strength to pass through the magnetic fields as it propelled itself forwards with its own magnetic pulling force. Signed AMA. If some one can make a You Tube video of this effect in action that would be great thanks.
I always struggled in my school days because believe it or not...I have always this weird ability to check the vibe test...but no teacher has this easy going, non arrogant way of teaching like you do...When I share this feeling to my fellowmates, they laughed at me because it sounds very ideal...but turns out it is not...I'm so happy to encounter this channel...never stop teaching and inspiring🙏
I watched 100 videos and then I found this video the explanation was awesome 🙌 I understood everything it’s my exam tomorrow and it’s gonna go awesome wish me luck
Waaaw....for the 1st time as a school student I think techniques of Simple Machines are AMAZING...thank u so much for this video...Looks like it made my day...💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Nice video! I'm making a video on Levers in the human body now, wanted to see what else was out there. I thought you'd go over the 3 classes of levers, but that was a cool demo on the 2nd class lever.

your explanation gets a thumbs up !!!!!!!! just superb , you explain us so easily by some experiments.........Thank you ! I have already subscribed your channel ....... You're a nice teacher .. I wish you get millions of subscriptions .......
Hey! We would love to hear back from you about how the students like the video :) We hope the video was helpful and for more fun and simple science learning, check out the other videos on the channel 😄
So...please help me out here! I'm trying to recreate this as a demonstration for my elementary class, but the science isn't working!! I'm using an 8oz (226g) weight instead of the thousand gram weight, and I've had to be creative as to attaching it to my meter stick (I've used an o-ring/caribiner and string, but all other materials are identical to Jared's. Here's the issue - when I use the lever, my spring scale measures MORE work, not less/easier :/ WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? I won't be able to sleep tonight until I understand this :P
Stevie......a quick suggestion....1) Are you sure it is an 8 ounce (226 g ) weight?....2) directly weigh the weight with the spring scale and see if it measures 226 g.....3) Spring scales can be very inaccurate unless they are calibrated with a known weight. Let us know the result...we can continue to brainstorm together.
Thank you so much for creating so much for creating this channel and for putting so much effort into it! My son is now having a lot more fun and understanding of science :D
I don't understand how this works in terms of the formula used in physics. The formula is Force1 * Distance1 = Force2 * Distance2. Where distance is the distance from the fulcrum.
Thank you so much for your feedback on our science video. And thanks for spreading science! Thxs for making this video you are really a life saver and now I can make my marshmallow launcher by lever thx you for making this video Keep up the good videos and I will be happy :D

Cant lift this stuff if the materials to lift it arent up to it, eventually we will find something that we wont be able to lift with out technologies, because of the materials we know.
Seriously he is taking about boring stuff but helpful for cheating in my homework and you little bitch is crushing on him he ain’t cute he ugly man but again helpful to me at least. I fucking hate homework bro so boring anyway bye
