This was really helpful! I inherited a severally damaged peacock chair and this has finally given me the courage to know where to begin! Thank you!

Lucky you!!! I love peacock chairs, they are my favorite. We are repairing 3 more tomorrow, I’ll be making a few additional videos. Spray bottle and wood glue are always my go to tools when repairing. I’d love to see your chairs, do you have Instagram?

I have a peacock chair that’s a little rough around the edges and needs some repair. It was left outside on a covered porch so it also needs a good cleaning. Do you have any recommendations?

I wash my off with the house and mild dish soap. Then leave out to dry. For really ugly ones, I spray paint after I clean

Where did you get the material that you’re soaking and rewrapping with? I’m having trouble finding it online.

Amazon (wicker, rattan, thin cane), but I also buy items in bad shape from marketplace (Facebook) and thrift stores. Soaking them gets the wicker off for me to use on nice chairs

Do you happen to have a few links for the thin cane? I’m seeing options on Amazon but not sure which one to go with! I have almost this exact chair but with black trim too!
