This should not be understated. The crazy precision to wall jump off a single floating block and make it back to the ice blocks AFTER spotting the piranha... That was nearly autosomal. Like, bruh...
I would say 22:13 to 22:24 is the most clutch play but that one is too. Love how he saved it with a ground pound when I thought he was gone for sure haha
@@YeYe-wd7vq ya im not suprised when you make videos almost everyday definitely probably has a stock pile he talked about it once when the rumor came out that the servers were closing that he was going to
"There aren't many of these left." Ryu, I love you to death. To hear such words is honestly deeply saddening to me. I have watched your SMM1 content almost from the beginning, at least well before 100k subscribers. I know this is prerecorded content, and that SMM1 is officially dead, but I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for the super chill, casual demeanor you give. It was so nice to come home after such a long day of school/work and to find that you uploaded a SMM super expert video. No matter what the levels were, you delivered in providing quality content without any over-saturation, bloated content. You're an awesome dude, and I appreciate so much that you went through the effort to prerecord this content for us post-mortem of SMM1. You were, and will always be, the best.
I just find it amazing after all these years theres still levels Ryu finds with concepts he hasnt seen before, like the propeller ground pound one. Mario maker was truly an amazing game.
"I just learned how to do ground pounds in an entirely new way... just in time for the game to go ofline and for me to never have a chance to use it again!"
Absolutely amazing run, one for the ages! I've been enjoying your content for about 5 years now, and you never disappoint. Thanks for all the good times!
If you look up right after you ground pound you cancel the groundpound but get the extra airtime, then you just repeat that again and again, think that's all
April 16, Ryu discovers and teaches us a new ground pound cancel technique that could allow cheesing lots of levels from now on. April 8 : SMM1 shutdown :p
9:50 - This is 100% true, and I think I can explain it: When someone labels their course as "impossible", it's because they're overselling their skill level - they want to make an impressive, super hard level, but they're not good enough to clear a level that's *actually* super hard. And on the flipside, creators who *are* insanely skilled seem to be unable to create a level that's of a reasonable, approachable skill level, despite their best efforts. But they want people to... well, actually play the level, rather than be put off by the inevitable sub 0.50% clear rate. So they call it "easy", both because it's easy *to them* and because they don't want prospective players to be scared off. So yes, literally almost every time a level includes the word "impossible" in the title, it's actually most likely pretty beatable; and almost every time a level includes the word "easy"... nothing could be further from the truth. In reality, if you feel like you have to describe the difficulty of your level in the name or description, your label is likely very misleading. If you have an accurate assessment of your own level's difficulty, you won't feel the need to label it at all - that's literally the purpose of the clear rate. And the clear rate almost never lies.
That was truly amazing, Ryu, your level of skill has never been on clearer display. Congrats on an astounding clutch run and thank you for always being willing to share your experiences with us
Watching you stream 100-man the other day puts these runs into perspective. Instead of all the cuts and what not where a 100-man run takes 20 minutes instead of an hour
WOW! I've watched this man for what feels like nearly a decade & bro has some of the best reflexes I've ever seen anyone in any game ever have. This run was absolutely incredible. Love Ryu.
Ryu, you're slacking!! In level 2 - the Fun Run - it took you WAY TOO LONG to realize there were hidden power-ups.. When they throw that many hot garbage enemies in a row, your experience should help you realize there are hidden stars/power ups!
THIS IS THE SIMPLY THE BEST RUN IVE EVER SEEN! The amount of clutch at the end was simply amazing! Love the content Ryu! Youre helping me through one of the most difficult times of my life right now. God bless!
28:00 The facial expression says enough 🥶 as cold as ice 🥶 ryu saved the run like he does it on a daily base 😎 What a run...... Without any doubts ryukahr is one of the best SMM1 players the world has ever known.
