Classic projection. Tell them that it's their mind that's in the gutter and they're weird for considering any of that stuff sexual, see how quick they'll block, it would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

Apologizing to them is like trying to appease those little bloodsucking stable flies with someone else, they don’t care they just want your blood and consequences be damned, they want it now
So if you watch a show where the main characters are minors make you a pedo? Then if you watched Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, The Owl House, Avatar The Last Airbender and etc, you are a pedo... That is a logic of all time i guess, wtf man.
Reminds me of that priest who was in the news a while back for making similarly unhinged comments. He claimed that young girls shouldn't ride bicycles because it's "inappropriate". Needless to say, people were not happy. Normal people don't think like that.
being 100% honest if SU was anime everyone would be calling it pedophilic, like stevonnie's entire existance, or peridot being for all intents and purposes a loli. But since it's not a japanese thing, then we don't need to complain No twitter people are not racist why do you ask
Of course...if they can't get rid of it they just shame you for watching it. Here comes the Thought Police! Hide your hobbies!...or don't...actually don't, frick them!
There is something ironic in the fact that this is also done by the generation that constantly complains about the excessive conservatism and moral panic of the older generation.
@@animebro14 In Eastern Europe there is a meme “fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists”, implying that people will pretend to be fighters against themselves because it is trendy and helps hide their true intentions.
I have a feeling that this was written by some kind of moral guardians from the Victorian era or the Stalinist USSR. I just can't believe this moral practice is coming from children.
@@sonicdash9652 The sad thing is that they are neither one nor the other, they are really children whose moral panic and dogmatism reaches the level of the Stalinists and Victorian moral guards.
@@sonicdash9652 - It's Stalinist. so with that logic if we see powerpuff girls we also have that chemical X power? waow i wanna that.. let me watch onepunch man or dragon ball let me have that kind of power...
Honestly, I hate the term “ick.” I immediately stop taking someone seriously if they use that term when they’re expressing their grievances. It makes me think of a toddler not eating their peas and yelling “icky!” while throwing a fit. As if policing someone’s likes isn’t insufferable enough. 😑
@@Xaxares “Yikes” has been around for a while though. Longer than you’d think but it grew in popularity in the 1970s which is probably why it was used in Scooby Doo so much, now that I think about it.
@@sassyghost_8 I know it's been around for quite a bit and now I can hear Shaggy saying it. As for what I mean it's more the shift in tone and usage that I've noticed. As a thematic example, someone saying that watching anime is yikes, or is a yikes. If you get my meaning.
@@sassyghost_8 With some luck it stops being used such and returns to it's original meaning. What's funny is, in my fictitious example, you could have easilly replaced the "Yikes" by the "ick", the meaning isn't exactly the same but seems close enough.
Because for some reason people think that the only thing Japan is known for is anime. That's like saying the only thing the US is known for is cartoons.
I watched anime way back when it was considered nerdy, and you’d get made fun of for it. I wasn’t ashamed of it then, and I’m not ashamed of it now. As if I, an actual adult in the real world, with a real job, and a real life cares about getting cancelled on the internet 🙄 Antis make my head hurt.
They are blaming us for being too engrossed in fantasy and yet here they are unable to tell the difference between anime and reality. Here's something we should throw back at them, if fictional and fantasy content triggers them to the point that it affects their real life personal situations. Then they're the ones who need to stave off the internet and media.
Probably going to be a controversial statement, but it honestly should be classified as some sort of mental illness at this point being unable to draw a line between fiction and reality. Although it could probably classify as part of an existing one.
These people themselves think they live in a fantasy "My name is Faerunia Sephiroth Shatterstar and my pronouns are fae/faer" They pretty much think they're an anime protagonist destined to save the world By... threatening people on Twitter lmao If they acknowledge the difference between real and imaginary then they will have an existential crisis on their hands
@@ootdega I always wondered where the whole neopronouns thing came from and why it's considered as pronouns. Last I checked, pronouns were supposed to classify gender rather than species (but somehow you get called a bigot for even questioning it).
It is insane that on Twitter you have so many people making clearly racist attacks on Japan but people support them as long as it is "anime bad" hot take. While people are now pushing lately against these weirdos, they are still too many.
I saw a RU-vidr making fun of the Japanese accent or the way Japanese people talk like the video was supposed to be "anime bad dialogue" but instead he made fun of Japan country and sarcastically said "Sugoiidesuneee" intently making fun of them
And then makes big claims that "Japanese people and Japanese society doesn't want to have personalty" The video should point out bad dialogue but instead, he mocks other cultures almost as if other mediums didn't have bad shows or dialogue. Some people call him out for mocking but just to defend himself he acts like "Western media brought the entertainment medium, not the Asia". Even most of the comments d*ck riding him
"Anything where the main characters are minors is pedophilic." If your mind goes straight to sex when anyone mentions Harry Potter, Teen Titans, Arthur, Powerpuff Girls, Precure, or *insert highschool slice-of-life anime here*, you've got a problem.
I bet you they dont have this same energy for that disgusting “big mouth” show. Watering down terms like pedophile enables and helps ACTUAL pedophiles get away with horrible things.
@@questworldiangreenknight7455 Same! I hadn’t been that invested in a western animated show in a while. If it’s possible for another platform to pick it up I would love to see it continued.
I honestly don't think this as a Gen Z issue, the most important part to remember is that the world is so much smaller now. The internet has given every single weirdo, crazy person a soap box to stand on and they all find each other. So instead of being ostracized in their home town they join together on forums around the world making their crazy seem much more prevalent than it actually is.
I agree. It’s a parenting and mental health issue. A lot of impressionable kids with no parental supervision get into spaces with adult discourse that they don’t fully understand and they get radicalized. Same with people who are mentally unwell and they take problems shown or talked about on the internet personally to an insane degree.

These are the clowns who legitimately think you can't like young characters in a story once you've turned 18. They really think you can't like a character without something sexual involved.
The dumbest thing are that these are the people that would say "That doesn't make it ok" if you tell them that the person liking or crushing on a character is also 16.
@@JewelWildmoonCome on, these people are so narcisstic and need so much selfapproval, they literally tell rape victims they deserved to be raped when the rape victim is pro loli stuff.
@@JewelWildmoonyeah, I've seen something on RU-vid about a tiktok talking about "outgrowing favourite anime character", and a lot of teens got a breakdown from that realization.
If someone can't think or see about a young person without having only "sus" thoughts about it and showing how obsessed they are with that topic, that's where you can sense they're the "suspicious" ones. For example: most normal people could see a boy at a café and think "Yo, that boy is eating a croissant". Someone else could also think "That's a beautiful boy, girls would instantly fall in love with him". These are perfectly fine. But, if the first thing that crosses some people's minds when they see/think about minors is literally straight-up "inappropriate" stuff and they start projecting their twisted thoughts onto others, that's where it's really worrying. And no, I don't talk about people with traumas or intrusive thoughts, I talk about people who cannot think of them as anything other than something "inappropriate" and THEN accusing everyone else of being "sus" people for things they didn't even do, just because those normal people have born with the natural gift of "being able to think about minors in non-inappropriate ways" (OMG, shocking, could you believe that???). This said, if anything, these mentally ill people mentality who believe to be guardians and life savers, by doing what they do the best (accuse anything of File PDF), are LITERALLY helping the real criminals get away with it easier. Both by watering the term down to the point it's making it lose its meaning and seriousness, and by making people waste time and resources on the wrong/innocent subjects, thus giving the REAL criminals more time + letting them hide and avoid being noticed easier. *(sorry if my english sucks, forgot to use my translator...again)*
(I hope YT didn't hide my comment cuz they always try to censor topics like that with specific terms, even talking about c€-ns0r$sh1p and comments sh@d0w-b@nn1 ng can get detected)

This has the same energy as the soccer mom that goes: Stop reading those violent comics if you're not old enough! But you still had to grow up because comics are for children!
They are 100% projecting, that behavior can't be described as simple "hating". The commitment is hard enough to hint something is suspicious about them.
The whole shaming someone for their liking of anime only really works on younger people because older anime fans and especially oldtaku don't care, they've been there before.
Waaaaay too many antis have gotten comfortable with taking attitudes that'd get their azzes beat IRL or haven't been told in sufficient amount to STFU and go play in traffic and it shows.
Because nobody even tells them that online anymore. Since corpos started acting like their mommies and banning anyone who doesn't respect their mental issues, online games banning people instantly for no-no words but dragging their ass for actual issues like botting or throwing matches. The internet was better before the activist positions of the "trust and safety councils" were established.
This whole thing reminds me of when people were hating others for watching anime, but only now apparently you're a pedo if you enjoy it and aren't a loser... Wtf is wrong with people these days
I can't believe old mature people have memories of being a minor and looking at life through their childish eyes in wonderment when they're nostelgic, sickening.
That's what interested me all the time. If zoomers can forbid me to read about minor characters, then can I forbid them to read about adult characters with the same logic, lol?
Probably would go something like: "Adults shouldn't be allowed to watch/read anything involving minor characters!" "That means you shouldn't be allowed to watch anything involving adult themes in the slightest." "YoU'rE OnLy sAYiNg ThAt CuZ yOu'rE a PeDo"
@@JewelWildmoonif their argument is shit (they probably know, or is just stupid) and you beat their argument, they just throw accusations. Which is a fallacy(forgot what type)

Let me guess... This person saw that hit piece documentary that Vice put out about how the anime/manga industry is p3dophilic and they were convinced that the industry along with anyone watching anime/manga or anything from Japan is a p3do. (By the way, that documentary won an Emmy Award)
There are a whole factor of reasons this is going on. But yes, the fact that they're lashing out so much and gone beyond just "Uzaki chan is bad" to "OMG all of Japan is pedo and you should be cancelled if you like anything they make!" is a clear sign of three big things. 1) It's not working, 2) Anime is getting more popular because of their outrage bringing more attention to it and 3) this is not an organic movement. The media has been against anime and Japan since the 1980s. And it just so happens that this is ramping up of Japan/anime hate is happening at the exact same time as Disney is crashing and losing a lot of their anime publishing/distribution deals. Alongside some anime/manga are outdoing Marvel products. And a lot of these people pushing this junk are also part of the defense force for Disney Marvels. Can I confirm Disney and the Hollywood media are the major factor driving this? No. But this isn't the first time that there's a lot of factors pointing to something that 5-10 years later gets confirmed to be true... And in all of this, remember that Hollywood has a bunch of confirmed and convicted pedos. And they always project their issues onto their enemies.
They do know the characters age right??? Have they read jjk??? Mind you , there are certain animes i do not care for and they do have inappropriate themes. This what you call a poser. Someone who entered the scene of anime and manga when it got trendy in the mainstream. I did say start gate keeping anime and only share your hobbies with people who are genuinely interested in them.
Must also mean i can't partake in games, art, politics, sports, movies, shows, and literally any other hobby/activity because they're all filled with kid diddlers, right?
Damn, that person went full schizo over nothing just because someone had the audacity to watch anime and read manga, and of course labeled them has a p3do for no reason that person definitely is malding or is salty over their "friend" enjoying something they dont like
I think that the reason that the Twitter Cops are getting pushback is because of a mixture of the trend beginning to die, there are a lot of people who enjoy the dopamine rush from seeing their likes tick up after all, and the fact that they are going from understandable targets for those unfamiliar with the medium (IE, loli content for those who dont have a decent grasp that no, it is NOT porn, just cute characters), to targeting content that has absolutely nothing in it that could make any but the most pearl clutching Karan from the Satanic Panic era think is remotely bad. Plus, as Anime becomes more and more mainstream, more people become familiar and begin to understand that its really not that different from Western stuff, just usually better written. That and the takes are getting more and more batshit insane.
Saying "anime is for pedos" is like saying "fighting games are for pedos". These takes on anime are so delusional that non anime fans can see through the hot garbage. It's understandable with some loli characters being sexualized, but LITERALLY EVERYTHING SINGLE GOD DAMN CHARACTER!?! Faye Valentine? Chi Chi? Yoruichi? Mereoleona? Genkai? Tsunade?Armitage? Midnight? Meril Strife? Kobeni Higashiyama? Yor Forger? Nami? Tina(Toriko)? Maki Oze? Sukuyo ManKanshoku? Mirellia Malromarc? Kumiko Yamaguchi? Jura Basil Elden? Emi Akezawa? Shinobu Kocho? Sword Maiden? Erza Scarlet? Izumi Curtis? Tatsumaki(One Punch Man)? Hana Uzaki? These characters count as freaking toddlers to you judgmental buttheads? If so, then I really REALLY need to know how the HELL does the age of 18 and above count as "underaged"? An age that's been deemed "adult".
Fighting games what!? WOOOOW so their logic if is Mortal Kombat is fro p*dos!? WTF the lost violent game ever being for p*dos? Honestly, Twitter is a abyss and asylum on great point. Twitter need to dissapear and Others like Facebook and Instagram too, they are making everyone feel insane and losing their mind, more worse that a Karen with dr*gs and alcohol in their blood.
The stigma against Anime and games is why i like to keep my hobbies too myself. And if i do meet another anime enjoyer tell them i like popular anime Aot,JJk,demon slayer, etc and decide what route i want to take this conversation based on how to they react.
Ngl. Considering the fact that there are fandoms out there that people can troll more, I would've thought gaming and anime would be in the clear at this point.
I remember getting a DM from someone who was mad that I interacted with a post about a fictional 35-year-old male character dating a fictional 17-year-old female character. I didn't clutch my pearls or lose my shit at the person who made the post, and apparently that was enough to get someone after me. They told me how disgusting it was that I would be okay with that sort of content, and when I responded with, "She ain't real" they got even angrier and blocked me. There is no reasoning with people like this. They live in a delusion, and only reality can break them out of it.
Are you a dude or a chick? If you are a dude probably mom might slap ya because Sailor Moon isn't really for men, and your momma wants you to watch manly things (like, in the case of Animes, JoJo, Fist of North Star or City Hunter)
When they said “ick” it felt like some sort of Disney show, I could hear the audience gasping in the background lol Also this isn’t related at all but I was wondering what mangas should I get to read. Was planing to get SAO and Dragon Ball but I don’t know what else to get.
If you want an amazing action mystery shonen by the same author as hunterxhunter, with an actual conclusion, and has the legendary dark tounament arc, watch or read yu yu hakusho.
I'm kinda scared of the time when the zoomers are the ones in positions of power and they haven't grown out of this mindset. Hopefully I'll be dead by then.
This is what they want. You like something they don't like, great, they don't have to take part, but that's not enough for them. Anime and manga is being targeted because here in the US the entertainment industry is being left behind. If they can't ruin it, they'll do everything in their power to destroy it.

Goated comment, anyone making this woke argument against yu yu hakusho, a show about a guy dying, being revived, then becoming a spirit detective, one of the most legendary action shonens with the best tournament arc, is a complete nut and can't be taken seriously. They probably like pokemon and astro boy too and think they are merely cartoons(they're anime)
@@infern24 To be fair I loved the OG pokemon anime all the way up to the DP Anime, then I lost interest. The games I stopped at gen 8 because my god that dip in quality dropped faster than the population numbers on Alderaan.
Liking manga and animé doesn't make someone a ped. Hell, most people who do read/watch manga/animé aren't sexually attracted to fictional characters. Someone also needs to tell the loon complaining about their friend liking JJK that age of consent in Japan is 16, meaning Itadori, Megumi, and Nobara are technically not minors over there. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if the loon is liking or doing some even worse shite than what they're accusing Priscilla of.
To add on that, that could be true cuz I only now noticed they're likely a k-pop stan (probably the only reason they were priscilla's friend despite hating anime), and the industry is full of poorly treated underage idols that they tend to simp over.
If i can't watch/play anything that deals with underage characters, then what about Disney... Tons of dinsey, pixar, marval, sony, illumination, and other companies make movies about characters who are young. Forget about Harry Potter? Guess thats not ok. I only just wanted to point out that non Japanese shows/movies have a ton of characters that fit that description (y'all forget about cartoon network shows like Rugrats lol)
I have seen alot of cartoon kids... I have been watching cartoons as far back i can remember, and i have no plans stopping anytime soon... I swear, some people should touch some grass or something...
It's not just kids with easy internet access who do this. There are many Politicians, News Media Journalists, Activist Groups, Law Enforcement, Customs, Boarder Force and even Parent and Teacher groups who act this way when they get offended by Video Games and Cartoon Characters. It's sickening how they put all their effort to attack depictions of fictional characters, when there are real predators in real life doing horrible things to real people.
