Simpson Chubby 2 LE Brush, Gillette Tech-Made in England, Margaritas in the Arctic & Quorum
Trying out a Limited Edition Simpson Chubby 2 that my friend Marc sent me and said I have to try this amazing brush. I’m also using some cooling menthol preshave and shave soap today. A British Gillette Tech razor with vintage Wilkinson Sword Blades. Thanks for tuning in.

Great shave. I recently went back to the Wilkinson Sword blades, and they didn’t decrease in quality. Instead, they still perform like champs like they did when I used to use them often as a rookie wet shaver. The Travel Tech doesn’t get used as much as I want to, but every time I use it, it performs superbly

Howdy Ken! I have recently purchased a Limited Edition Ebony “Dark Knight” Simpson Chubby 2 with Manchurian Badger Hair and no issues with shedding. Great photo of your late Dad. I can see the likeness. He could of been a stunt double for Pierce Brosnan and/or Alec Baldwin. 😂 Take care my friend! 🤠

Great shave Ken! I have the same razor, haven't used it in awhile but it's a great one. Used margaritas in the arctic glacial myself today. Use it a lot on these hot days, take care my friend, see you next shave!

Glad to hear your cousin and family is in good health. What a fantastic brush that is. I think the way you use that brush is exactly how the manufacturer recommends to do so. Without the heavy circular motion, and instead, the paint brush method without too much pressure. Great shave!

Great shave Ken, I have ordered Margarita's in the Arctic Glacial and splash looking forward to it arriving. Awesome soap and scent. My Dad had a heart attack in 1999 I was 20 we were doing a removal I will never forget him leaning against the blanket pile telling me of the pain and he continued to work until we said enough was enough we got an Ambulance and found out later he was having a heart attack. He is still with us but has Parkinson's and a type 2 diabetic. Been deteriorating over the last 2 years. A plus side he enjoys me shaving him. Sunday I shaved him with my shavette the first time to shave someone else with it. Have a great weekend. Very best regards Gordon 😊👍👌

Ken💈💈 Smooth sailing there, the old Tech worked a charm. Of course Stirling soap didn't hurt much either, great product. Whipped up with a superb Simpson brush, the lather looked slick and nice. The blade, vintage quality for sure. Yeah, great shave and video, thanks. Enjoy!

I watched an old video of yours and bought Quorum to try and realised I knew the sent from being a nipper. I have a badger and a synthetic Simpsons brush and I do find the synthetic sheds a little. Black Summer is fantastic but I must catch up as I've only seen the first season. Great shave and great video pal

Wow, what a great looking brush! MITA is my current favorite menthol soap and splash, I just wish the scent lasted a little longer. I have a 40's era Tech that still works, and for 10 bucks at the vintage market, you can't beat it! BTW, a couple of Frost Drops from Stirling will really make the MITA COLD! Hi Ken, this same razor (made in England) was given to me by my daughter with the complicity of my father-in-law who owned it but did not use it, I find it very valid, like all vintage Gillettes. 👋👋🇮🇹🇬🇧

I got a Super and a Manchurian chubby 3 recently. They both shed like 5-6 hair in total on the first 3 shaves each. No shed after that. Pricey brushes but damn they feel good and generate lather like nothing else.

Good Ol’ Quorum!!! I have a vintage bottle myself, and my wife likes the smell of it, but not for a date night or anything like that. Her favorite vintage aftershave, thank goodness, is Brut. Good shave Ken!!!

@@kensurfs yeah it was around there….. 81, 82, something like that. I was born in ‘79, and I remember my dad having Quorum as one of the aftershaves on the bathroom counter. That one and Old Spice Shulton always burned the most to me, and to this day, nothing has changed!!!

Hard to beat the Gillette Tech for a spectacular bbs shave. Speaking of, my Slim adjustables and Fatboy are in for maintenance so I called upon my GSC Fatguy with a Gillette Silver Blue blade (3rd use). Outstanding result. Btw, I understand GSC is making the Toggle right now. Very tempting.

"Not a day you want." No, it wasn't, at all. He'd been ill for so long, but it was still hard when the day came. BtW, love the Techs, any Tech, including the three English ones I've got. A very well executed engineering design that is simplicity itself. All the Techs are wonderful, including the one Gillette still markets in India (7 O'clock Stirling). Best wishes

I have a Simpson 2 Super Badger. No shedding at all. When I use it, I have to double the amount of soap I use. Brush is very firm and dense. Not getting any softer with use yet.

I have stetson vintage and modern aftershave I think the vintage smells more spicy/woodsy where the reformulation version smells a lot like alcohol/soapy.

Not that I have any personal experience, but I believe that Simpson's intend their brushes to be used as painters and not swirled in circles at all.

I’m doing ok. I deleted my Facebook account for good. After July 2nd, it’ll be gone. I did that because this society doesn’t care about me or my feelings. People just posting rude stuff and stuff that does not make me feel welcome or comfortable makes me sad and upset. I deleted it for good and I’m not going back on it anymore. Plus, I’m still grieving over my grandfather right now. I wish you guys see how I’m going through things right now. Why can’t they understand my pain and sorrow? 🥺😢😭
