---- Andrea, Angelina just did two shows back-to-back on February 29, 2024 at the Westgate Casino & Resort in Las Vegas on the same stage that Elvis performed 636 sold-out performances ---- These concerts really highlight just how great Angelina is as every performance was excellent, earning standing ovations for many of them (and there were a total of 38 done in the two concerts which is quite impressive as there was only about a 30-minute break between the two shows) ---- Here is the set list for both shows (where item 18 shows different songs were played for each of the two shows): 1. Diamonds Are Forever 2. Love Don’t Let Me Go (original by Angelina) 3. Hero 4. Bang Bang 5. When We Were Young 6. Can’t Help Falling In Love 7. Mercy 8. Diamond (original by Angelina) 9. Million Miles (original by Angelina) 10. Stay 11. Suspicious Minds 12. Interlude with band playing That's All Right (Angelina wardrobe change) 13. Feeling Good 14. Now I’m The Fool (original by Angelina) 15. All I Ask 16. Princess of Ruins (not yet released original song by Angelina) 17. Bohemian Rhapsody 18. Moon River (first show) / My Funny Valentine (second show) 19. Unchained Melody 20. One Moment In Time ---- Some of the better recordings of Angelina's performances include those by Merrilee Gaines (almost TV broadcast quality for many of the videos as captured in 4K. In addition to individual performances, also has a 15-minute concert reel of some the performances) and Knut Hegland (nice closeups and excellent audio). One of the best complete recordings of Adele's song All I Ask has been published by BigAngieFan (i.e., Chris Walker): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5mtOfhEGREY.html ---- You should react to Angelina's new, yet to be officially released song, that she sung for the first time at the concerts, Princess of Ruins. The song is about the little Middle Eastern barefoot girl that Angelina met when Angelina was 6-years old. This little girl was the inspiration for why Angelina always performs barefoot. There are some good recordings of the song but this one published by "AJ Playlists - by most2dot0" is excellent. The audio is crisp enough that if you click on the CC option you get an excellent Closed Caption of the lyrics for the song: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i66ex1piGKQ.html
Andrea, thanks for your reaction to the first song I ever cried to. Angelina wrote this song at age 13, in the days after her maternal grandfather passed away. Million Miles was the first song she released after signing with Republic Records, at age 14. I loved every song she sang at her two shows in Las Vegas, on February 29th. James Thiel on his channel, has the best quality videos from the concert. He has posted one song, "Hero", so far but will be posting many more.
Great tip with James Theil, recommendation, there seem to be so many recordings from the concerts and not sure where to start , the ones I have seen are sensational. I do hope one day she comes to the UK.
Hi, Andy! Did you know hat RU-vid channel owner MegaBogieMann recorded the whole of the 9.00 p.m. concert in three videos? The quality of both audio and video is very, very good.
Angelina's version of Million Miles at Westgate was a combination of the slow rendition she did in Norway with the Rob Christie piano arrangement you hear here. The drummer even played the haunting pad notes you heard in the lyric video with AJ's and Mery's art work. The backdrop of the clouds around the moon and her grieving belt had me crying. It was such a moving performance.❤
Beautiful reaction, Andrea. Angelina was 14 here, performing a song she wrote at 13 after her beloved grandfather had passed away. Angelina has also said that this song is for anyone who has lost a dear one. Take care 🙂 Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
What was beautiful about it ? Not mentioned a word about the lyrics, and I get it when its a cover, but not when its an original.... then I think the lyrics speaks volumes ❤️ Very sloppy reaction in my eyes ❤️
I was surprised too. I had thought you had reacted to this a while back. Her new song Princess of Ruins that Angelina debuted at her concerts last week may now become her identity song.
Two most outstanding abilities AJ possesses that few other singers do--particularly younger ones--is (1) her ability to sing in numerous styles & techniques, & (2) her restraint. She doesn't needlessly belt if the song doesn't justify it.
Absolutely phenomenal performance from our musical genius, other people have given you the story of why Angelina wrote a Million Miles, but shoutout to the pianist two times Grammy Award winner Rob Christie the musical director of republic records who Angelina signed with at 14 years old, great reaction thanks 🙏
So glad you got to reacting to this Andrea. It’s surprising that you’ve gone so long without listening to this iconic track. It will go down in history as a veritable anthem or lament for loved ones we all have lost. The reason it’s important to see this version… is that Angelina has sung this a few times LIVE, and in every case, there are significant changes in the live versions that put them over the top in their conveyance of profound emotion. What I’m trying to say is that you appreciate the live versions even MORE after seeing any of these older studio versions. Now, go out and *react to a live version.* The most recent was performed last week in her two shows in Vegas. The other two were performed in 2022 in Kurbadhagen Norway. *Prepare to be BLOWN AWAY!*
Hello Andrea. It is always a treat watching two beautiful song writer singers at the same time. One reacting and one performing. I agree Angelina is always on top of things, her voice inflections and tonality are second to none. I look forward to hearing your next composition. Be happy be strong!!
Beautiful cover trial run there. I do think it suits your voice really well and you get to play in that lower register, just a little bit, but enough to show your own strength there. I really enjoy these where you're laid back and just enjoying the music and jamming along. Also, the music video and history behind the song are worth a go; It does add to it to know what it's about.
Great to see another AJ reaction from you, Andrea! Hope you're doing well and singing up a storm. :) I love this clearer, more straightforward tone and diction. It's obvious this song means a lot to her. Great reaction and all success to you!
AJ's performance of Million Miles live in Norway is one of her best vids: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-joKQeVbThzE.html. AJ slows it way down with full band.
Good luck getting into the studio. She has something of an advantage. This is her personal studio, assigned by Republic when she signed. Or I've also heard it's the personal studio of Rob Christie, director of all Republic LA studios, for her personal use. Either way, you can be jealous. 😊
Nice reaction, Andrea. I think you definitely could do a nice cover of this! I also think that if you get to hear one of her live versions of this that she performed at her Norway concerts you would change your mind about thinking that there are effects placed on her voice.
Andrea always a pleasure watching your reaction videos! (Especially Angelina) Be ause I've said it before and will say it again you have a very comparative voice to Angelina and Amy Winehouse. I still think you should still do a commentary video on your cover of Taylor Swifts Our love story! Freaken love that cover you did. You and Katie both sound amazing!!!
So pleased you have done my favourite Angelina track, just beautiful. The live version she did in Norway last year is a slowed down version and the runs are truly off the scale and really worth a listen . Lovely reaction, maybe you should do a cover it would be amazing for sure given the demo just performed!
I recommend a Spanish singer, her name is Diana Navarro. She is a very versatile singer who sings different musical styles with a very particular voice and incredible melismas, she always transmits when she sings. The song is "El perdón" official video clip. Best regards
I love your videos. You are a very good singer and I love watching you play guitar I know your porbably wondring if you will measure up. Trust me you will. you simply didn't start at 6 years old.
I love your reactions, but I'm not sure you know the background on this song. You say it is really "pop." I don't get that myself. You should know that she wrote this song about her grandfather passing away. She did two videos of it, the better one feature animated drawings by her grandmother.
Not mentioned a word of the lyrics of this emotional original song of Angelinas, made me think... hmmm... not my kind a reactor... i get it when its a cover, but not when its an original song.
Disappointed in your comments Kent - there are ways of saying things that are kinder than "very sloppy job". I think Angelina would be disappointed also in one of her fans being harsh like that. I know that some reactors either stop reacting to AJ or are reluctant to, because her fans can be overzealous and harsh. My impression here is that, because Andrea is a singer herself, she was really focusing on AJ's singing this time, and not on the story....which is fine as far as I'm concerned. So one option, if you don't like reactors reacting that way, is to simply not watch their reactions going forward, rather than being unkind in the comments.
@@LaborsofLoveforAJ-xm2ot Its just my opinion. Its a critique, and I probably could have chosen other words, but I stand by my opinion though. And as I wrote in my comment, I will not see other reactions from her, so that will not be a problem in the future. Actually i will remove the words of sloppy job, because it was not so important to mention that. Thank you for your comment 👍 I appreciate that ❤️ I dont feel i was unkind. Diversity in opinions is a good thing, I think ❤️
At 5:08 you said, "So pretty!" She was basically yelling, not singing. Here is a pretty voice from Sissel, also a Norwegian, and, without argument, much, much better than Angelina Jordan ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A1YKBrUqwIU.html
