Two reasons for adding capacitors to single-phase motor.
1- In the original structure , the main coil and the auxiliary coil are powered at the same time and the same electromagnetic force is generated to cancel each other ,and the rotor can not rotate.
2- to make the magnetic field force rotate , it can be achieved by passing alternating current current of different phase sequences in the main coil and the auxiliary coil .
the existence of the coil capacitor fulfills this function.
when the motor accelerates to a certain value, the centrifugal switch is disconnected, and the motor runs at the rated speed.

@@saoudi1142 Thanks for this info, however I have a 220 motor... Can I use a 2Pole MCB switch and just run 1 live and 1 neutral? But for the live wire do I use just single 110v line?

Appreciate the video, had a client that brought in a high pressure water cleaner and it was just humming, turned out the starter cap was wired between V2 and U2. This video helped me fix that. Also, the wires were named W1 and W2 instead of Z1 and Z2, but otherwise worked flawlessly.

In electric motors with temporary capacitors in the circuit and two capacitors that have a remote function switch, it is not possible to turn left and right quickly because the centrifugal switch has changed its position in normal motor operation and the starter coil and capacitor have been removed from the circuit. To change the direction of rotation of the motor, the motor shaft speed must be reduced to less than one third of the nominal motor speed and the key of the speed function must be returned to the original state, then the motor must be connected to the power supply.

What if the motor has only z1 and z2 then u1 and u2 connection the L1 - u1 -z1. Then L2- U2 -z2 the theres a common line U1 again to u1

BECAUSE HE'S AN EVIL NERD . He did this on purpose for others to burn their motors .... also the switch is not clear gas the video is not 100% logic it is more like he expect everyone to have some knowledge and very high level of schemes comprehension which is sad
