I bought an electric sander to I’m having a hard time getting use to it so use to my snap on da but I’m trying to preserve my compressor use Awsome job mr Marc!
You can do the body work in 1/2 the time because your not doing it right. You hacked it like the first person. That car deserves better. Cut the rust out, weld a piece in and use short hair filler. Terrible for a classic, it's not a Honda.
I know some people comment that you do hack work, but they don't understand that it's up to the customer and their budget. Cutting out rust (or damage), fabricating and welding in patch panels is very time consuming, which means more labor hours. A few more hours here, a few more there, it all adds up.
Just to continue the same repair cycle every few years. I dont like doing work twice, nor would I want to warranty bubbles later. My jobs dont come back, PPG warranties their products for the life of the vehicle, but requires proper procedures.
First thing I thought when I saw that DA hit that body filler was "DAMN, that looks like it sands really well" especially seeing the way it just fell away as soft powder without clogging your paper. Last time I had anything even come close to that was Evercoat Zgrip and that was $60 like 10 years ago.
Dude thanks to for all the great vids your my favorite youtuber right now! Do you own speedokote? You completely sold me on there paints fkn gorgeous work
Nice job there Marco, it doesn't always pay to go for the cheapest fillers, paints and clearcoats as you seem to spend more time working with them to get the result that you could have gotten a lot quicker if you paid a bit more. I've been looking for a 1k sealer similar to you use but it seems like there is nothing available like that here in the UK, it a shame as it would save money and materials for small jobs compared to using 2k sealer (wet on Wet) primers🤷♂👍John UK
Yeah I had a look at it and even put it in my basket but unfortunately it's saying it can't be shipped to my location, it's a shame there isn't some way of having a UK or even a Europe based outlet for Speedkote products as I can imagine they would be very popular👍
I have been using there products sence I was a teenager. Fully support the brand. As far as my involvement with the company I am simply there media person. Do the videos and such.
Sell us on the brand. Instead of mocking with funny voices and the tongue psttt. Thing. Tell us why we should spend hard earned money on a relatively generic brand product when top name brand is the same price.ill give you the clears are cheaper than top shelf but everything else is priced on par with 3m and evercoat. I have tried the speedokote high fill primers and they cant compete with even local shop products. They were very thin and had lots of shrink back. The base coat white was thin also. 6 coats to cover gray primer.
Speedokote is a manufacturer direct company that's why the prices are stupid low. The only thing I think they possibly rebrand is sand papers, fillers. All the paints they mix themselves.
Wow man 🔥🔥🔥🔥 that’s awesome that’s what you call good tech skills there are some season vet painters I know for a fact that can’t do that and a cool classic too
Nice to see you using a rasp/grater on the filler. Some people have more time than money and the less expensive filler maybe all they can afford. Maybe an option for the Walmart filler user is to use a rasp/cheese grater with a better quality sand paper. I've seen some RU-vidrs claim 3m sandpaper lasting significantly longer than cheaper options. But I've also seen RU-vidrs compare an Amazon sandpaper to 3m and the Amazon product was comparable to 3M for a significant price difference.
Don't take this the wrong way. This type of mindset will have people going to the grave with a lot of regreetts. You can always make more money. Can't make more time.
This is great and I think you should do more videos focusing on blending single stage paint. Lots of people who want to do this type of blend including me but every video I search for on RU-vid was about base/clear blend. Last year I did my first full car paint job single stage urethane paint from Eastwood and it came out pretty good you know like from 5-10 feet away. Problem was got a few runs in the paint so I stopped at 2 coats even though I wanted at least 3 coats. It was late into the night and I said fudge it since I didn't want the runs to get any bigger. Unfortunately, when working on the runs with razor blade and sand paper I burned through the paint in a few spots. Probably should put an extra coat or two on it but I just don't have the time or will to do that again. So I will be attempting this blend soon and I'm not going to lie I'm a little nervous about it! I tried this type of blend on a different car and it left an overspray-looking-line that I still have to wet sand and buff. I assume I didn't apply enough blender. It's a difficult balance because you can get runs if you apply too much.
Yes I agree! Dad bought a 55 Dodge new; I’ve owned it now for many years . Now I would like to touch up some issues but there isn’t much on the topic unless it’s a base/clear..
Never thought could use the fade out aerosol on spot area single stage before . How long did you wait after final coat? Spray over immediately while wet??
@@RMJJ91 we aren't cheap ither. Most places around the country are charging a minimum of 300-400 per PANLE right now to do work. Labor and material has gone up significantly
