I will be doing the same battery set-up this coming week in my Siren and was wondering how you prevent the battery box from moving around when sailing?
I glassed two rings to the bottom of the hull and strapped the battery box down. If you don't want to go through the trouble of using a battery box and doing all the wiring, the portable power stations are a great option.

@@robynair123 Nice boat from the architect who pretty much designs all Beneteau hulls! I think either model, TP22 or TP32 will work well. The TP32 is way overkill for my 17 footer but I got a great deal of eBay. I think the TP22 is a bit slower to travel but still has plenty of torque for your boat. It works really well networked to the B&G chart plotter. I use Navionics Sonar charts on the plotter, I don't even have a depth sounder on my boat, the charts are very good and depths are highly detailed. Just curious what don't you like on the ST-2000?
@@siren17 Number one is the price, too hight for what you get. Quality wise I prefer the TP32 it is much robust, more powerfull and last but not least waterproof. 2° I never ear any rumors about tech issue after few year or normal utilization ... a different story with ST2000 or St1000 after 2/3 year they have to be repaired or changed completely. Yes Simrad dosen't have the display but who really care about it. I have a question for you could you attach a remote controll via the Vulcan and remotely control the TP32 ?
