Same reason I collect and build steam whistles, the're noise makers, have historic value, and have a special sound that in a way makes you feel good when you hear it. I may not be a siren collector, but I wouldn't mind having an old federal siren of some kind.
I wish America would recyle things better. I would like to see the red one that was probily near a fire station refurbished and put back in service. Some one could restore the out side and put it in a museum display or some thing simaler. That is what I would prefer to see done with every thing in America and the world unless totally decaied or other wise unrecyclable. Thank you for your video.
How can you tell? The wires aren't in view so you can't really tell whether it is a 5AT or a 5BT. In fact, it's most likely a 5AT since single phase sirens are so much harder to find.
Anyone mind me asking why you people like sirens so much? I'm just browsing through these videos because I'm bored and there are tons of people asking about buying and people with sirens as their profile pics... What's the deal?
