One additional comment!!!! I have taken this magnet mount off until I do the permanent mount. I took one trip from FL to Tennessee. When I got to Tennessee I needed to spend a half hour cleaning and buffing the roof where the magnet was. The rubber under the mount did a great job, however the magnet is sooooo STRONG (like it needs to be to hold onto the roof) it wears on the paint, You better hope you do not have a silver car or a car that has a high metal flake content in the paint, as the magnet pulls the metal flakes through the paint towards the magnet damaging the factory paint job. I still rate the antenna as a solid ten out of ten, but some of the good causes some minor damage.
Got this setup last week, unbelievable results with my Anytone radio. SWR is 1.0 and 1.1 across the band without any trimming needed. Only downside is that it is LONG so be careful with trees and car ports.
I also have a 5000 Turbo, They are amazing. You need to do a 3" Breedlove Puck mount with that antenna (due to the length). That is what I am putting on mine, I will be using a 90 degree PL on the bottom of the mount so that it does not interfere with the headliner. Also I will be using LMR 240 coax or equivalent. If you are using an ultra high quality antenna, you should not skimp on the mount and coax.
Larsen commercial electronics has a black very low profile edge mount, if it fits the clearances it would look good on your vehicle, the NMOTLP antenna mount combined with the NMO27B 27-30 MHz black base loaded whip. pricey, but Awesome. Cheers ...
Do you think that would be a good antenna to hook up to my Stryker 447 cuz as of right now I'm running a K40 trunk lip Mount antenna and it doesn't seem like the receive is very good on it

SOUL MAN this magnet is pretty strong. The one that comes with it also comes with a rubber bottom to protect your car. I’ve been at 90 mph and has held like a champ.
@@cbradionews how long is the stainless steel whip that comes with it and can antenna be unscrewed from the magnet Mount easily the only reason I'm asking it's because I park my car in a parking garage every night thank you and sorry for asking so many questions
How does anyone receive these in one piece ? My Sirio 5000 Turbo was shipped thru USPS, and the Postman warned me before he took it out of the truck, that it was damaged ! It was shipped inside two long U.S. Postal boxes, taped in the middle, instead of a strong cardboard shipping tube ! The box was ripped in several pieces along it's length, with Postal stickers in several places saying it was damaged ! Even the tip had a slight bend in it ! Totally BS, for the price of these ! How do others ship these ?
I bought one about a year ago. The mount is nice, but that's the best I can say for it. The cable is crap, and the antenna itself is worthless. I messed with it for 3 days, using an rigexpert aa-35 zoom analyzer and swr is garbage. stick with a stryker or a wilson. Maybe I got a bad one, but I don't have time to play games with junk.
I added some length to the coax using barrell connectors and that dropped SWR to a 1.0 across the 11m band. Shot skip on 38 lsb from SoCal to Tampa Bay Florida with no problem. If you use the magmount make sure that metallic adhesive is on the magnet and then the rubber boot.
Not sure, It is tuneable from 15-30mhz in a fairly wide band. I run it 25-30mhz with .6swr on most channels nothing over 1.3. It is a crazy Rx antenna, on par with a 102" SS whip in a tree.
Sorry, U asked about Gain, DB gain. SWR is not DB gain, 1.3 is not DB gain, that is only reflected "power" from your antenna to your radio equipment.Error in tuning or bad tuning will burn your last transistor. So, your question was not answer.
Je confirme ! cette antenne est géniale la preuve je module avec un talkie walkie Albrecht 2990 et je ne recevait rien avec l'antenne d'origine .Depuis que je travaille avec cette antenne je fait des supers contacts a travers le monde Dont Miami hier soir .Tout sa avec seulement 2 Watts .Cette antenne est incroyable !!!
