As a woman I don’t like to see a black woman with a bunch of tattoos. It’s uglier when it’s all over the chest area & when you get older the worst it gets.

Speaking as a healthcare professional and an IT professional I work for the federal government, which means I work with people who can either help or harm my future. I absolutely refuse to even entertain a woman who has tattoos. Being a Black Male in the professional world is difficult enough and by having the wrong woman on your arm no matter what color she is can do sometimes irreversible damage to your career

Yes! Professional men care about who they have on their arm within their social circle. A professional man wants to he able to excuse himself to go to the bathroom and be able to re-enter that conversation knowing he's not been represented poorly or embarrassed. Also, you "life of the party" women only get nights and weekends. It's not attractive.

It’s not about asking men. Their mom, aunt, or any woman should have told them this long time ago. The problem is many young black people don’t want to receive instructions. Many of the black youth are causing crazy crime in the cities. There’s no respect for anyone. So this is what they get. I’m the only one in my family with zero tattoos. There’s no need for it. It doesn’t look lady like. Say what you want: the group that doesn’t like to receive instructions won’t like it.

African man here . in our culture when you have excess piercing, more than two in one ear or in the cheeks or nose no man is gonna take you to his parents house or family events. You gonne stay in the corner for ever no matter the heart you have. I don't even talk about tattoos that's a no, no. Rare are the family that can be tolerant about .
I'm have tattoos on both of my upper arms and my husband of 17 years sees it as art and I had it years before I met him. Would never get it on my face and neck and my tattoos are covered up at work and I'm a registered nurse. My husband went to Morehouse and is a psychiatrist. My husband doesn't have tattoos nor piercings, but he fell in love with my sense of humor, kindness, respect, dedication and soul. I'm not a feminist either, can't stand feminist, I cook, clean, submit to my husband and make his lunch before he goes to work.
She is right. Men who have status value our reputation. Who we have on our arms matter because she reprents us. It's not the tattoos in of themselves. Its the mentality, attitides, behaviors and platitudes that tend to come with the women they're attached to. I am a 58 year old black male and for a while I thought I was just an old fashion prude who does not like tattoos, especially when they are being displayed all over a female body. I just do not understand why so many females today are so obsessed with tattoos. Obviously, nothing is wrong in admiring good art work, however good art work can still be admired without showcasing them all over the human body. In my opinion, a female beauty is reduced incrementally by the amount of tattoos she has on her body. This can also give the wrong impression of her moral character and worthiness.
